The long-awaited first flight of the US Air Force’s ultra-ambitious new B-21 Raider strategic bomber is a fact. The aircraft, which has been manufactured since 2015 by Northrop-Grumman, in six prototypes, at its facility in Palmdale, California, flew for the first time, and the impressive video is making the world around the Internet. The program was covered by the Americans with complete secrecy and only in the last two years we often became frequent recipients of small doses of information, in the context of the “war of nerves” with Russia and China, in an attempt to create impressions…
His achievement in maintaining secrecy, in a program involving a total of 8,000 people, working in 400 companies, in 40 US states, was truly impressive! The most obvious feature is the VLO (Very Low Observable) technology that incorporates the “stealth” features. According to the manufacturers, as well as the US Air Force (USAF), these are even more advanced and effective than their B-2, F-22 and F-35 counterparts.
