Today’s Chinese Army: Robotic Armed “Dogs”, Exoskeletons and Drones – Video

Extensive research into new robotic systems as well as advanced devices of all types for use in future battlefields is being done by the Chinese Armed Forces, who do not miss an opportunity to show it off. So in the training video below, we see the use of a portable radar device, which allows you to “see” behind walls. This is followed by dropping a self-propelled camera into the building where CQB (Close Quarter Combat) training takes place. The camera is a tiny robot, capable of moving around in space and transmitting images.

This is followed by an entry into the building under investigation by a robotic “dog” equipped with an automatic rifle, so it can act aggressively beyond observation, followed by a soldier wearing an exoskeleton.

The diffusion of these technologies is rapid and it is not possible to treat them as something “futuristic” that will be implemented in some distant decades. Today in Ukraine on both sides drones of all types dominate, on the ground many variants of them have appeared for mine laying, refueling and even as combat, in the sea Ukrainian drones are constantly sinking Russian ships.

So the Chinese research (and many other countries) is in essence a practical application for “today”. While any armed forces remain in perceptions and philosophies of combat…Vietnam, they will be in for a very unpleasant surprise if they are ever called upon to attempt a modern conflict.
