Russian Defense Ministry Proposes Establishment of Reserve Capital in Siberia

The proposal to move the Russian capital to Siberia has military overtones. Certainly, the implementation of such a proposal shows fear for something coming for this reason those who react to this proposal responded with a “that there is no need for such a thing.”

But the possible transfer of the Russian capital to the depths of its vast territory clearly indicates the question of the survival of the political and military leadership in case of great need (world war).

The proposal and its purpose

The proposal of the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Defense is based on the fear caused by existing data on the external borders of Western Russia. More specifically:

Given that the US Aegis missile defense system has already been deployed in Poland and Romania, it is a matter of great concern to Russian officials, as these missiles can be immediately replaced by Tomahawk rocket-propelled grenades.

The whole of Western Russia is in the zone of destruction of American missiles. The possibility of developing Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile (IRBM) missiles even in Ukraine terrifies Russian officials.

It would take just a few minutes of flight time for nuclear warheads to hit Moscow.

A pre-emptive missile strike could suddenly wipe out the entire political and military leadership and most of the Russian defense industry.

If the Russian capital was transported to the depths of Siberia, then the response time is long and far from the radius of destruction of American missiles.

Only in this way could Russia survive and maintain its sovereignty.

The USA and the corresponding type of application of the “second-reserve” capital

The functions of the US political and military administration would be transferred from Washington to Chicago or New York, turning these giant metropolises into the largest economic and political center on earth.

The 34th President of the United States Dwight David “Ike” Eisenhower (1953-1961) had created the institution, which remains to this day, the “shadow cabinet”. His role was that of the reserve government, which at any time can take over the administration of the country in the event of a pre-emptive strike with missiles Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) eliminating all US political leadership.

In Russia, by contrast, the main governing structures are concentrated in Moscow, and in the event of a pre-emptive strike “without a formal declaration of war”, it would leave Russia without leadership.

In addition, relocating Russian defense industry headquarters to Siberia would protect it from a US missile strike.
