LSE 2021: US Navy & USMC from Eastern Mediterranean to West Pacific Ocean

The giant American Navy and Amphibious exercise (Large Scale Exercise 2021 or LSE 2021) is in progress, which is characterized as the largest in the world in this field.

American Defense Doctrine is so “structured” that the United States can fight and defeat two great adversaries around the world at the same time as it did during the Cold War and until the 1980s in both Europe and the Pacific.

Large Scale Exercise 2021

The goal of the exercise is to get the message from both Russia and China that the United States can successfully respond to multiple fronts.

Exercises the size of the LSE 2021 each time demonstrate the capabilities and courage of the US Navy and Amphibious Forces worldwide.

Its duration will last until August 16, 2021, and will involve about 36 ships and more than 50 virtual units in about 17 different time zones.

USMC units will have a large participation. More specifically, in addition to military and civilian personnel, 6 US Navy and USMC administrations with five US fleets will participate.

Defending maritime control will be a major scenario especially in the Pacific Ocean, the South China Sea, and the Senkaku Islands of Japan.

The exercise will be conducted in the Black Sea, the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, the South China Sea, and the East China Sea.
