Ukraine struck the largest refinery in Siberia that supplied fuel to the Russian army – video

The Ukrainian military announced today that it had struck Russia’s largest oil refinery, located deep in Siberia—approximately 2,500 kilometers from Ukraine.

The refinery, situated in Omsk and operated by Gazpromneft, had also been targeted in July.

In a statement posted on the messaging app Telegram, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces did not provide details regarding the impact of the attack but noted that the refinery supplies fuel to the Russian military.

The refinery suspended operations in the summer following an attack.

Earlier, Omsk region Governor Vitaly Khotsenko stated that an industrial unit had been struck by a drone, without providing further details.

Ukraine, which is facing intense missile and drone attacks from Russia, is conducting its own campaign of long-range drone strikes against military, energy, and commercial targets in an effort to increase the cost to Moscow of continuing the war.
