About a hundred years ago and for almost fifty years, the great traditionalist thinker, esotericist and ideological-political enlightener, presented a huge body of guiding texts, which constitute a timeless “water of life” for Nationalists. Our Post-Political formation will not be sufficiently complete if we do not methodically metabolize the diverse essences of his knowledge and wisdom.
The solution proposed by Master Evola for the multifaceted, multi-level and multi-complex problem resulting from the generalized attack of the forces of ethnodestruction against traditional national societies, primarily includes as a necessary condition the “Traditional Awakening”, during which the most devoted supporters of the Tradition realize precisely the enormous extent on which the ongoing cosmogenic battle is being waged in the secret and occult realm.
However, the European Mystic himself also admits that, at present, we do not have men capable (qualitatively and quantitatively) for the proper fight against this homicidal demonic planetary disease. Therefore, the immediate “primary necessity” countermeasure to this deficiency of ours is clearly threefold: methodical study, detailed information and tireless enlightenment!
And Master Evola continues to explain: “The occult war is that war that is waged behind the scenes by the forces of world subversion, using means that are almost always invisible to ordinary methods of investigation. Therefore, the concept of the hidden war belongs to a three-dimensional view of history, where history is not considered superficially, according to the two dimensions of obvious causes, events and driving forces, but according to its third dimension, that of depth: An underground current of decisive forces and influences, which are often not reducible to the simple human element, individual or collective.
It is worth clarifying the meaning of the term “underground”, as it should not be identified with any dark and irrational substratum of objective history – something that happens in relation to the known face of history, as the subconscious stands in relation to the awakening consciousness of the individual. This analogy, on the contrary, may be an appropriate one for those who are objects and not subjects of history, according to this three-dimensional view of events: “Objects of history,” that is, people who do not demonstrate any awareness of the real influences that affect their thoughts and actions, nor of the goals realized through them, and who thus seem to focus more on their subconscious and unconscious than on their awakening consciousness.
From this point of view, it is at the level of the subconscious that the most decisive steps of the secret war are carried out. However, from the point of view of the real issues of history, things are quite different: Here we must not speak of the subconscious or the unconscious, but rather of forces that are much more than merely intelligent, forces that know very well what they want and what the most appropriate means may be to achieve their goals. It would be extremely dangerous to suppose that this substratum of history consists of the “irrational,” of “life,” of “becoming,” or of any other of those vaguely defined entities to which modern historicism has arrived in its attempt to transcend positivist historiography.
Indeed, I consider this assumption of historicism as one of the proposals promoted in certain circles through occult means, precisely as part of the strategy of the occult war in the modern era.”
The Dark Forces, which constitute the core and guiding narrative of the planetary Overlords, are not only exceptionally destructive, but also prove to be cunning, prudent and in a completely perverse way wise, tracing a bloody trajectory within the pages of recorded history, but also long before it. In seeking post-political perfection we must ensure detailed and due attention to the study of the issue. Therefore, we must read very carefully any revealing analysis of the described secret terrifying tactics, which have not ceased to be used in the timeless planetary political and spiritual conflict.
The great Master of the European Tradition, Julius Evola, examined in detail [in the magazine “La Vita Italiana”, volume XXVI, issue number 298 (January 1938), article entitled “Considerations on the hidden war” pages 27-37] the methods used by the world saboteurs (using very intelligently some of the ideas of his friend, the great French esotericist René Guenon) and outlined a clear series of these methods.
In his apocalyptic text, the possible, largely unknown causes that may be the triggering sources of the secret war were mentioned. It must be added here that some of these unknown causes may simply be random factors, as there is no detectable reason to assume that all historical events are the products of conscious intentions (open-visible or closed-hidden). Accidents certainly occur in history.
But when someone observes that human affairs move steadily in one direction, then he is entitled to conclude that this is not accidental and that some conscious planning of the direction of this movement is at work. If the conscious plans of the obvious agents are not sufficient to explain historical trends, then we are justified and obliged to attribute the unfolding work to hidden plans and hidden agents.
Among the relevant testimonies that Evola examines in detail are the claims of the famous Anglo-Jewish politician and Prime Minister of Great Britain, Benjamin Disraeli, Earl of Beaconsfield (1804-1881), that: “The world is governed by men quite different from those imagined by those who cannot see behind the scenes.” And also Baron Evola says in his work “Men and Ruins”: “The public does not realize that in all conflicts within nations and in all conflicts between nations there are, besides those obviously responsible for them, hidden troublemakers who by their selfish designs make these conflicts inevitable… Everything that happens in the confused evolution of peoples is secretly prepared in order to secure the dominance of certain people: These are the people, known and unknown, who must be found behind every public manifestation.”
Evola also treats the infamous “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” as further evidence of the secret war. He acknowledges that the Protocols are not real protocols, but rather a literary presentation of a secret program for world domination. However, in his view, the sincerity and truth of the Protocols cannot be proven or disproven by tracing their origin. On the contrary, their truth is proven by their exact correspondence with real events. Thus, as he states again in “Men and Ruins”: “The value of the document as a working hypothesis is indisputable: it presents the various aspects of the world upheaval (among them some aspects which were destined to be described and realized only many years after the publication of the Protocols) in terms of a whole within which they find their adequate justification and their logical combination.” Both Guénon and Evola believe that the occult war is waged by secret societies. Just as Tradition is maintained and propagated through initiatory societies, Counter-Tradition is also propagated through anti-initiatory societies, which are profane images of the genuine initiatory orders and teach inverted doctrines that promote decadence and decomposition. The secret initiatory society is the ideal vehicle for both Tradition and Counter-Tradition, for three main reasons:
1. Both Tradition and its subversion are based on bodies of eternal principles which must be disseminated over time through a process of initiation, that is, through the communication of doctrines from teacher to student, in a hierarchical sequence of studies in which the lower initiatory degrees constitute the foundations for the higher ones. Of course, this describes every educational process, even the most trivial. But only an organization whose teachings evoke the greatest piety and whose initiation process is invested with and invoked with the greatest solemnity can hope to last forever. Therefore, the foundation of the doctrine of this organization must be eternal truths, and endurance over time is the consequence of pursuing these eternal truths and living in accordance with them.
2. Both Tradition and its overthrow are not merely matters of theory. They also involve action: actions that span the globe, span entire centuries, and determine the destinies of races, nations, and civilizations, as well as plans of action that unfold over generations, centuries, or even millennia. No organization can hope to motivate generations to toil in pursuit of goals that will never be realized in their lifetimes unless and only if it can mobilize the highest form of impersonal idealism. But this highest form of idealism is prompted only by the highest good, which again requires a foundation in eternal truths.
3. An organization that has been perpetuated for millennia and operates on a global scale, for good or for evil, is almost certain to create enemies. Therefore, to last and persist, it must be secret. Secrecy also serves another purpose, allowing initiates to infiltrate and influence, for good or ill, other organizations that would resist the initiates if their competing beliefs were known. A further purpose of secrecy is that it allows an organization to survive regime changes, even the fall of entire civilizations. For a secret society can and must infiltrate all the institutions of a given society, but it must also be independent of any of these institutions. Its essence must be found within it, ultimately based on its orientation towards the eternal, towards the most essential of all.
The great Archimedes claimed that only two things were needed to move the entire planet: Essentially a lever and a place to stand on. The place to stand on cannot move, but it allows one to move other things. Therefore, in order to move the world, one must have a place outside it to stand on. So in order to move all of History, one needs a “place” to stand outside of History: A secret society that does not move with History, because its foundations are above History and above politics, deeply entrenched in a timeless doctrine that does not change because it is based on the eternal.
If, therefore, one wants to move History, instead of being moved by it, one must become an immovable axis around which all other things revolve. That is, one must be like Aristotle’s God, the “Moveable Mover”, the first “moving immovable” (“On Physics” – book L) who does not move because he is complete and self-sufficient (he is the universal essence itself), but sets the rest of the world in motion, because all things seek to imitate his distant self-sufficiency. He gives the first movement to the eternal world without moving himself, and in this way he ensures its continuity. Someone who wants to move History must experience like the Taoist “Wise Emperor”, who with his unpretentious and effortless action, “acts without acting”, simply embodying the immutable principle of order around which all other beings are arranged.
The researcher who, in historical study, finds a long-standing social order can assume the presence of an active initiated traditional body: Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Persia, India, China, Japan, Greece, Rome, Byzantium, the Catholic Church and the old aristocratic regimes of Europe.
Accordingly, one can assume the presence of an initiated and initiatory anti-traditional body, in that event where a constant tendency towards social disorder and rebellion persists or even increases. In the case of the rise of modernity, numerous different groups and interests came together to overthrow the old order of things: Protestants, natural scientists, rationalists and empiricist philosophers, political liberals and capitalist-plutocrats, were already present in the first wave. The various subversive waves included, in addition to the ambitious subversives for profit and power and the persecuted, the Jews, Anarchists and Communists who could not be assimilated into pre-existing societies. Here, of course, it must be noted that, since the end of the Second Great War and onwards, especially after the creation of the state of Israel, the Jewish element has evolved from a rebellious, subversive social pariah into a hegemonic global state player.
If an initiatory secret society based on and aiming at the eternal is the place where one stands unshakable, what is the corresponding “Archimedean” lever? What are the means by which one moves History? The short answer is: By any means necessary. If the metaphysical foundations and practical goals of a secret order are as stable and unchanging as “Being in itself”, then the means by which the influence and direction of History is sought must be as manifold and variable as the historical flow itself.
Absolute dogmatism for foundations and goals can and must be combined with absolute pragmatism for means. Truth and order can use lies and chaos. The good can be pursued by any means, including evil and wicked ones, provided that they are truly means and do not become ends in themselves to substitute for the good. (Let us recall the conscious “babesia” – dishonorable violation of the word of honor, of the nationalist warlord Lambros Tzavellas, when, being a prisoner of Ali Pasha, he deceived him, was freed and returned to Souli as the abbot of his defense. He wrote to the enemy: “I am glad that I laughed at a deceiver like you”).
If the ends do not sanctify the means, then no one and nothing will do it!
