CIA chief W. Burns: Total conflict with Iran is wrong

Washington seems to want to put an end to Netanyahu’s unbridled desire for an all-out conflict with Iran, primarily in his intention to bomb the nuclear facilities, pointing out the enormous dangers that a global Israel-Iran conflict would cause. The head of the US CIA believes that neither Israel nor Iran want “all-out conflict”, because there is a great risk of a miscalculation. William Burns also states that Iran has not proceeded to build a nuclear bomb, which means that it is not a danger in general and to Israel in particular. He also adds that the operation in Gaza must also end in order for the region to return to normality, always without Hamas.

Burns’ remarks highlight the US’s concern about the consequences of an attempt to destroy Iran (nuclear, military infrastructure and oil facilities).

His point is that there is a huge risk of a miscalculation.

This time the disagreement between Washington and Netanyahu is decisive. And it seems that the USA (which in a few weeks has an election) will not help at the level of military aid to Israel’s attack on Iran. At this time Israel’s Defense Minister Gald is flying to Washington where he will meet with his American counterpart in Austin.

Let us also remember that two days ago the French President Emmanuel Macron asked to stop the supply of weapons and weapon systems to Israel. Which caused an angry reaction from Netanyahu.
