First use of Russian 1.5 ton FAB-1500 bomb against Ukrainian fortress! The video is scary

According to reliable information, one of the very recent military operations of the Russian military in Ukraine was the use of a one and a half ton FAB-1500 M54 aerial bomb with a UMPC conversion kit. The target of the Russian attack was said to be a fortified area of the Ukrainian army.

The ferocity of the explosion demonstrates that massive damage was caused to the Ukrainian target as the Russian aerial munitions fire was powerful. The entire incident appears to have been captured by an unmanned aerial vehicle. Specifically, this is the first video showing the reported use of a 1,500 kg bomb in Ukraine.

The FAB-1500 bombs are highly lethal on their own, however with UMPC conversion kits these weapons can be turned into precision guided weapons, and their range is also increased. Thus, we are dealing with a deadly combination, which the Ukrainians cannot deal with in any way.

However, Russia does not use the FAB-1500 bombs often. They are powerful weapons, which he keeps for particularly important goals. If it wants to destroy objects of lesser importance, then it lines up similar FAB-250 and FAB-500 aerial bombs of 250 and 500 kg respectively. Both the FAB-1500 and the FAB-250 and FAB-500 are compatible with the UMPC precision weapon conversion kit.

Given the above, the Russian FAB-1500 bomb most likely hit a serious object of the Ukrainian army, since the Russians only in urgent and serious situations use such heavy and destructive weapons.

Ukrainians Helpless Against FAB “Flying” Bombs

It is neither the first nor the last time Russian bombing has exposed a gap in Ukrainian air defenses. Kiev itself has admitted several times that it cannot intercept certain Russian weapons, including FAB aerial bombs.

The problem is magnified when these aerial bombs are combined with UMPC kits, since the wings of the said system give the Russian munitions the ability to fly like airships in the air (i.e. glide), thus greatly increasing the range their.

In particular, Ukrainian reports speculate that a FAB-1500 bomb with a UPMC kit can hit a target at a maximum range of 60-70 kilometers or even further.
