Solentar is a huge “trap” for Ukrainians
Despite the complete encirclement of Solentar by units of the private company Wagner, 400 more Ukrainian soldiers continue to resist, stationed in high-rise buildings.
About a hundred Ukrainian soldiers have decided to voluntarily lay down their arms, however, the situation in the city remains very difficult.
According to various estimates, the clearing of Solendar may take up to 72 hours, however, the probability that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to take any countermeasures to withdraw their units from the encirclement is extremely low, as currently the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Wagner PMC units outside the city are divided into a striking gray zone.
The unexpectedly rapid attack on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Solendar seriously complicated the possibilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to send additional units here and, among other things, did not allow the Ukrainian troops to regroup, and as a result, the latter began to serious losses.
Experts fear that there may be Ukrainian observers on the territory of the city, which can seriously complicate the process of clearing the city due to the lack of air defense cover for this area.
The Russians are quickly learning from the mistakes of the past months, and are now preparing a massive ground offensive targeting Kyiv, and that city alone, to deliver a major blow to the Ukrainian government.
