Munch Museum

National painter for Norwegians and a leading exponent of international expressionism, Edward Munch is the locomotive for Oslo’s cultural profile. The inauguration of the new museum, a state-of-the-art building that rises arrogantly on the waterfront of the capital, confirms the momentum with which the city is developing as a center of culture. Nevertheless, the aesthetics of the building, which was named “Lambda” due to its shape, provokes strong criticism.
