Japan, and its most dignified people, after intense pressure from the International Olympic Committee, agreed to light the Flame at the Tokyo Stadium to start the most silent – without spectators – games in the history of the Olympic Games.
Japan had agreed to make a financial fuss, as these games had no spectators, forcing Japanese citizens to watch them on TV and social media as if they were taking place in another country.
The 32nd Olympic Games will go down in history as the games of Covid-19, the mask, the fear, the isolation, without spectators, the health protocols, the television, and the social media.
Television rights were one of the main reasons for the pressure to carry them out. But the Japanese people will later have to bear the cost of doing so.
Many of the people of Japan and given that Japan is the land of myths and legends believe that there is an ancient curse every time the Olympic Games are held in Tokyo and that is why the recent Olympic Games did not have the expected benefit for the country.
The 1940 Olympics were not held, while the 1964 counterparts damaged the environment. 2021 is the Covid-19 pandemic and they started one year late, with difficult conditions, as the organizers had warned that they will not hesitate to stop them if the cases on the field get out of control.
The course of events until the end of them was under control and shows that the Olympic Games completed successfully.
Until Wednesday 8 August 2021 the ranking of countries in the Medals (the top ten) is as follows (Data Source: www.olympics.com).

All countries and regardless of the number of Olympic medals they will collect, must constantly learn from the mistakes and successes of the past to continuously develop in the best way their achievements in Olympic sports. Only in this way are the expected successful results achieved in the long run.
