Contrary to the doctrine of former US President Donald J. Trump, who was also the first to announce and implement the “America First” doctrine, current US President Joe Biden promised to re-open US relations with their European allies, but the “America First” doctrine applies absolutely to his presidency.
This is noted by the recent placement of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken at the NATO conference, where he directly asked Germany to cancel the Nord Stream 2 project linking Germany with Russia.

This intention of the US to impose its wants and priorities on its allies (see analysis titled «The Complex Picture of International Relations between the US-EU-Russia-Turkey») but it was also expected because the strongest partner in a partnership/alliance shapes politics in its own interests and requires others to serve its policy.
US President Joe Biden’s policy aims to reduce the power of China and Russia, and isolate these two countries, combined with aligning the EU with US strategic options.
Over time we have found through the prism of history that no strong country can support its confrontation with other adversary countries based only on arguments of material interest, which is why any confrontation is always accompanied by the invocation of moral principles.
The Crusaders invoked the protection of the Holy Land from the infidels. Tsar Russia invoked the defence of the interests of Christians in the Ottoman Empire, while at the same time promoting its expansionist strategies.
The Imperial House of Habsburg invoked the moral obligation to save Europe from the ottomans. Then they became head of the Anti-Reformation to save the Roman Catholic Church from the Protestants. After the defeat of Emperor Napoleon, the revolutionary movements that threatened Europe’s political and moral order were crushed.
The British Empire combined its foreign policy with the promotion of democracy and parliamentarism, but it was controlled by Britain through political doctrine division and reign, creating destabilization in these countries whenever they wanted.
It is precisely this policy pursued by the US towards China and Russia adapted in its own way using as a moral advantage the policy of respecting human rights (the Uighurs in east China) and the rule of law which is the basis of the democratic constitutional governance of the countries of the West.
In this context, new defence agreements have been implemented between the US and South Korea and Japan respectively, to isolate China.
This U.S. policy-strategy may be testing the capabilities they have, but it certainly will not lead to US defeat. But it is unknown both their success rate and how the image of the world will be shaped afterwards.
