Is this a picture of the American 6th generation aircraft fighter, F-47?

Infrared photographs released on June 5, 2026 by the Project Fear channel on X have sparked intense interest in the aviation and defense community, as they capture an unknown aircraft operating at night within the US Air Force’s testing range in Nevada, the well-known Area 51!

The thermal image shows an aircraft with a delta wing, canard wings also in a delta configuration, the absence of a tail, and wing tips with a serrated arrangement, a feature often found in low-observability (stealth) designs to reduce radar signature. Thus, the first hypothesis is that this is a prototype of the US Air Force’s 6th generation fighter in development, the Boeing F-47.

This particular design form is considered particularly suitable for aircraft intended to operate at supersonic speeds, combining reduced aerodynamic drag with increased maneuverability at high angles of attack.

The wide rear fuselage also suggests a twin-engine layout, consistent with the increased power and electrical generation requirements expected for sixth-generation fighters.

Of particular interest is the aircraft’s limited thermal signature. The available footage does not show a strong trace of exhaust gases, suggesting the use of advanced infrared reduction technologies, although the image quality does not allow for firm conclusions.
