The US and Israel have failed to achieve their intended initial Geopolitical Goals against Iran

Forget the hollow boasting that comes out of Trump, it’s nothing more than noise covering up a huge strategic error. He miscalculated and now he’s backed into a corner he can’t easily get out of.

Sending US troops to Iran is not some grand show of force, it’s a clear sign of panic and desperation as the situation spirals out of his control.

This is not leadership, it’s a slow-motion meltdown. What’s unfolding is not just another crisis, it’s shaping up to be the moment that will define and ultimately destroy US global hegemony.

In psychology, there’s something called the Dunning-Kruger effect. It’s a phenomenon that essentially describes the paradox that people with low ability or knowledge tend to overestimate their own ability and judgment. From Trump to Vance, Rubio to Hegseth, the entire US political leadership responsible for waging war on Iran consists of an ignorant President and his incompetent entourage. This group of the most stupid and least educated people thought they were so smart that they launched a sneak attack on Iran and expected to win easily. Things did not go as they hoped!

It seems reasonable to conclude that the US and Israel (or Israel and the US) failed to achieve their primary war objective, namely regime change. Trump and his American Jewish handlers were betting on a sneak attack of decapitation under the cover of fake negotiations that would spark a domestic uprising to overthrow the Iranian government. In this way, they would achieve a quick victory (4 to 5 days, in Trump’s first estimate) and avoid any serious retaliation.

Vladimir Putin made a similar miscalculation, regarding the potential for resistance in Ukraine, when he assumed that Ukraine would be occupied within a week, ignoring the Western support for it.

Reality has not worked out as real estate magnate and Epstein friend President Donald Trump had hoped. The Iranians did not capitulate. They fought back. They did not fragment and revolt against the regime. They have united and rallied around the flag. In short, Trump and his Israeli handlers simply kicked a hornet’s nest.

Israel’s supporters celebrate the assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the widespread bombing of Iranian cities as signs of success. However, let us ask ourselves:

  • How did the assassination, under the guise of negotiation, of an 86-year-old cancer patient reduce Iran’s capabilities and advance the US/Israeli war goal?
  • How is the war progressing for Israel beyond the “success” of the first day?
  • How is the continuation of the war working for the US/Israeli lackeys in the Arabian Gulf?
  • Have the Iranians risen up to overthrow the government or have they united to seek revenge?

To be sure, Iran is taking a pounding and will likely suffer heavier losses than Israel and its vassals in the region. However, the success of a military campaign, the true victory, is measured by the achievement of political goals. The ultimate political goal of the US/Israeli war against Iran is regime change. That is completely out of the question. On the contrary, after the war is over, Tehran will be ruled by an even more anti-American government, led by a leader who harbors a deep hatred for the US and Israel, who wiped out his own family. Even if the US and Israel can kill more Iranian leaders, they will not install a puppet regime through assassinations and homicides.

Now that regime change is objectively off the table, the US war goal has changed: The Strait of Hormuz must remain open.

This change alone shows that the US has already lost the war, as the Strait of Hormuz was open before the war! Basically, the US is waging the war only to return to the pre-war situation!

This change alone shows that the US has already lost the war, as the Strait of Hormuz was open before the war! Basically, the US is waging the war only to return to the pre-war situation!

And even this modest goal is unlikely to be achieved without thousands of US soldiers losing their lives, as the US has no choice but to deploy ground troops.

And if the US does launch a ground invasion, Iran’s plan is to turn the conflict into a war of attrition designed to wear down US personnel and equipment. If a long war of attrition becomes a reality, it is to be expected that China and Russia will increase their support for Iran against the US, as they did during the Vietnam War.

Success in war is not measured by who dropped the most bombs or killed the most people. If that had happened, the US would have won the Vietnam War. The US dropped more bombs on Vietnam than in the entire Second World War. Three million soldiers and civilians died. In the end, they lost the war.

As the war expands to include all the Gulf states, it becomes a protracted conflict. In such conflicts, victory is not just about who has the ability to inflict pain, but also who has the endurance to absorb the pain. Iran is demonstrating its ability to absorb attacks while inflicting its own destruction on its enemies. Iran will win as long as it survives and defies its adversaries’ war aims. In other words, Iran doesn’t need to win, it just needs to not lose.

At the height of its global power, US military interventions over the past three decades or so have cost trillions of dollars and caused millions of civilian casualties. These interventions have completely failed to achieve their intended geopolitical goals and have significantly weakened US power and international legitimacy.

Now that the US is already in a weakened state, these past interventions pale in comparison to the potential new disaster that awaits it, as Iran is far more powerful than Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, or Syria. Even the most powerful nation, if strategically overextended, faces resource depletion and national decline.

Trump, like his predecessors, has failed to understand that military superiority does not equal strategic success. With Operation Epic Fury, the US has abandoned the pretense of any “rules-based order.” It now acts openly as a hegemon using violence to reshape an old culture, on behalf of American Zionist Jews.

The US is harming itself and losing all credibility as a global hegemonic power by going to war with Iran.
