The West’s Great Historical Mistake, the Role of Islam and the “Unknown” Hegseth

All these days there has been a frenzy in the US, on the occasion of the confirmations of Donald Trump’s cabinet. The structure of his cabinet will give us an idea of how the next four years of his presidency will unfold.

What caused a great surprise is the Pete Hegseth hearing. The level of hostility displayed by the Democrats has entered the realm of slander. Hegseth has just been confirmed as Secretary of Defense by Vice President JD Vance, the Democrats (and some NeoCons) seem to hate this man in a special way.

Hegseth’s opposition to the integration of transgender people into the armed forces is certainly a reason, but Trump is removing such mentally unstable people from the military regardless. His opposition to women in combat roles may anger some feminists, but the majority of Americans agree with him, and every specific study done on mixed-gender combat units has shown terrible results.

The Controversial Tattoo

They focused on accusations against Hegseth’s supposedly vile tattoo and how it relates to the Christian Crusades. The fury over Hegseth gives insight into what the establishment really fears, and their fear is fueled by Christianity.

But not only that – it’s the worship of Hegseth at a time when Christians controlled much of the known world. People like Hegseth are routinely barred from entering government because they espouse a philosophy that terrifies globalists.

A little history…

Is Hegseth a champion of Christian empire? Maybe he is, maybe not. However, one only has to wonder if that would be so bad…

This discussion is based on classic revisionist propaganda largely invented by “anti-colonial” academics in the 1990s, as part of the growing Political Correctness and Deconstruction movements in universities.

This propaganda has become so ingrained in the educational consciousness that most people today are unaware of the Crusades, they only know that “crusades = bad.” The first Christian Crusade is perhaps one of the most important events in Western history and one of the most neglected by academic institutions.

The prevailing narrative today is that the Crusades were a senseless murderous rampage by Europeans trying to steal the Holy Land from innocent Arabs. But as Michael Knowles points out, the Holy Land, most of the Levant region, North Africa including Egypt, and all the countries around the Mediterranean were ruled by Christians from 300 AD. This was the old Roman Empire that officially adopted Christianity in 323 AD. Yes, that’s right, most of the Middle East and North Africa were Christian for centuries.

The Schism

This Christian kingdom, which included what we now know as Israel, was split in two during an event called “The Great Schism” in 1054 AD between the Catholics in the West and the Orthodox Church in the East.

The schism created territorial weaknesses that Muslim conquerors quickly exploited when they captured the Holy Land in 640 AD.

Islam, founded by the warlord Muhammad in 610 AD, had united the tribal Arab world under a single religious banner, but also a philosophy of conquest. The Muslims, guided by at least 109 verses of the Quran demanding the submission of non-Muslims who refused to convert to Islam, set out to conquer all of Christendom.

Within a few decades, Islamic armies spread throughout the Levant and Africa, and even began to conquer territories in Europe, including parts of Spain. Christians were persecuted under Muslim rule and often enslaved.

Christian cities were sacked and lands were stolen.

When the Eastern Roman Emperor Alexios Komnenos asked Pope Urban II for help, the Pope called on Christians to unite and end the Schism. The East asked for help, and the West would respond in 1095 AD. if the crusade was unsuccessful, the downfall of Christianity was assured.

A Muslim “village”

Without the war to retake Christian lands, Europe as we know it would not exist, and much of our world would probably resemble one large Taliban village.

This terrifying prospect is obscured by extreme events, events that ended in tragedy or crime. As in any war, bad guys can appear on both sides. After all, there would be no Crusades without the Muslim invasions.

Today we face another ideological and cultural invasion, but this time the circumstances are more complex. The progressive attempt to awaken the historical record of the Crusades is designed to prevent a new united Western world.

One could argue that religion is no longer the unifying factor it once was. But things are starting to change, and a movement is forming before us that is increasingly spiritual, not secular.

The Change Trump Brings

Regardless of how one may view Donald Trump, the cultural shift surrounding his return to power cannot be denied.

After four years of Biden and Harris trying to establish medical tyranny, instigate a massive immigration crisis, label conservatives as a “threat to democracy,” and instill a cult in everyday life, it seems Americans have had enough.

There has been a dramatic shift in American society, a recognition that they are on the brink of disaster if they continue on their current progressive/socialist/relativist trajectory. The West is on the edge of a cliff. It’s the kind of moment that Pope Urban II witnessed in 1095 AD.

In today

In 2025, many more people view leftist ideology and globalization with contempt rather than complacency.

The elites’ borderless multicultural agenda is finally facing substantial opposition, at least in the US. There has also been a resurgence of interest in Christianity and Christian history. A natural consequence of Americans’ discovery of their Western cultural roots. For thousands of years, most of human civilization was a cesspool of primal domination.

There have been no innocent empires, white, brown, it doesn’t matter. The core of almost every empire has been war, slavery, and genocide. The powerful have always sought to subjugate the weak. Every group of people has engaged in the most outrageous behaviors.

Africans were enslaving each other long before Europeans got there. Native Americans engaged in slavery, tribal warfare, human sacrifice, and cannibalism as a way of life long before white Europeans arrived.

The Chinese and Mongols committed mass slaughter of peaceful kingdoms for much of the Middle Ages, yet progressive historians ignore these events in order to warn of the Christian Crusades. The Arabs were some of the worst perpetrators of human slavery, and their treatment of the people they conquered made the slavery of early American history seem picturesque.

Often misconstrued as the “Islamic Golden Age,” it is a modern academic myth that Muslims brought “peace and prosperity” and coexistence with them as they plundered the Levant and Europe. Anyone who did not embrace the Muslim faith was subject to barbarity.

Corruption

Today the West is facing rot, both from within and without. Western governments have engaged in covert sabotage, flooding the borders with immigrants from the third world and inviting ideologies and policies that are completely antithetical to Western ideals.

Many of them do not believe in things like equality, they believe that predators should rule and victims should submit.

Inviting such people to the US and Europe is clearly an agenda for the destruction of civilization through foreign saturation. No government does this by accident.

At the same time, there has been a progressive/communist insurgency operating among us, funded by vested interests using corporations and non-profits as support structures for the revolution.

Plunder from the Foundation

They seek to weaken the foundation, to discourage so they can plunder at will. This is most evident in the UK and Europe where people of common sense look from afar at the positive changes in America with a sense of longing. They feel like they are being left behind – Sacrifice to the multicultural behemoth.

This raises the question: is it enough to save America? Or is it time for a new and perhaps final crusade?

The left often talks about “tolerance” and accuses conservatives of going against their Christian fundamentals by refusing to remain indifferent to those who engage in destructive behavior. The political left and the globalists talk about tolerance because it goes hand in hand with degeneration.

With tolerance comes social decline into irreverence and wickedness, which is what they most desire. Tolerance is to suffer the crimes and transgressions of others without expecting ultimate correction. Tolerance has never been a Christian virtue.

On the contrary, the Bible teaches compassion, and it is often more compassionate to correct bad behavior than to allow it to continue. The First Crusade was much more than a simple geopolitical effort by governments to reclaim stolen lands. It was a massive spiritual correction. It was an effort that inspired great unity of purpose among ordinary people.

In fact, it was ordinary people, not monarchies, who made the First Crusade possible. If this kind of event were to happen again, it would have to be based on similarly high-minded purpose and populism.

Immigration

It is no coincidence that Europe has been flooded with third-world immigrants, most of them Muslim, over the past decade. These groups act as a crude weapon, used by elites to silence dissent from native citizens.

At the moment, the British are experiencing increasing Orwellian oppression. The AfD party in Germany is under threat even as it becomes more popular with voters. Progressive elites are seeking to ban them from the elections altogether.

The French establishment is using anti-political opposition laws in the National Rally party to thwart the demands of voters. Both Germany and Romania claim the right to ignore the election results if the conservatives continue to win.

There is a concerted effort across Europe to stop conservative groups from entering government. The only place where the tide has really turned is in the US (and perhaps Argentina). But we still have a long way to go, and government reform is slow. It will take a move outside of politics.

The big fear

The big fear among centrists and libertarians is that a religious movement will lead to a theocracy. Yes, religious institutions can be corrupt because institutions are controlled by men, but that is true of all institutions.

How well has secular leadership performed over the past century? Yes, not so great.

The idea of “separation of church and state” was never intended to remove Christian influences from government. It was designed to prevent government from interfering with individual religious expression. America was founded under Christian doctrine and Christian leadership. A return to this dynamic would be welcome, as long as personal freedom (freedom with responsibility) is preserved. The enemy is trying to build his own religious empire.

The awakening movement is driven by the cult of self and the cult of bureaucratic power. Behind the scenes they are not secular and are more zealous than any cult in recent memory. They claim to be atheists and progressive in their principles, but they are happily allied with third-world fundamentalists who hold completely opposite beliefs. Why?

Because Islam is not a threat to their ultimate goals. Christianity is. If a new crusade were to be waged, it would have to begin in America.

However, if we “take up the sword,” we can do so knowing that we are not alone. There are millions upon millions of Westerners around the world who would welcome it.
