On Monday, December 16, a Russian armored vehicle convoy entered the village of Novy Komar, located in the Velikaya Novoselka settlement area in the southern Donetsk direction.
According to the information, a Russian unit consisting of nine armored infantry fighting vehicles and one tank crossed the open area south of Razdolnoye and entered Novy Komar with a force of 50 soldiers.
The Russian soldiers stormed houses and basements in the central and southern parts of the village. In this way, they brought almost the entire village under their control, leaving no possibility of the Ukrainians recapturing Novy Komar.
It seems that the Russians have indeed started using this new tactic on the battlefield, which we could call the “herd of armored vehicles”. At the head of the column they place their best-protected vehicle, which uses electronic warfare to block possible incoming drone attacks. This protects the rest of the convoy, which usually consists of 10 vehicles.

Of course, we should note that this new Russian tactic can only be applied in open areas, where it is possible to advance with armored vehicles. Not all areas of the Ukrainian map are so accessible to armored vehicles, especially during autumn or winter when there is mud and snow almost along the entire front.
