What is happening in Syria and Ukraine is systematically interconnected, not random events. The two conflicts have a common root, namely Western imperialist intrigues.
The NATO-sponsored proxy war in Ukraine is unfolding in a horrific way for Biden’s US and its European partners. Russia is winning this war, which was reignited in February 2022, when Moscow launched its invasion of Ukraine to prevent years of low-intensity aggression under NATO auspices, using terrorist forces against Russian-speaking provinces. The current regime in Kiev came to power in 2014 in a coup supported by the CIA and the German BND, a coup that the West and the mainstream media have promoted as a democratic movement.
The Western media is also participating in the travesty of their governments regarding Syria. What the Western media fails to mention is that the jihadists in Syria were funded and armed by the Obama administration, starting in 2011 as part of a CIA project called Operation Timber Sycamore. The goal was to overthrow the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in a regime change operation under the guise of a “civil war.” This would serve several strategic purposes for the US and its NATO allies, including dismantling the Iranian-backed axis of resistance to Israel and undermining Russia’s dominance as Europe’s energy supplier by building new pipelines through Syria, which could be facilitated by a new pro-Western regime in Damascus.
Russia’s military intervention in Syria in 2015 ended the US-NATO proxy war for regime change. By 2020, the remaining jihadist mercenary army was largely confined to Idlib in northern Syria. The Turkish army continued to illegally occupy northern areas of Syria and support terrorist groups (under the pretext of fighting terrorism), while US military forces under the pretext of protecting the Kurds continued to occupy areas around Rojava in northern Syria and on the Iraq-Syria border.
The Western press in recent days has been reporting, partly falsely, that the escalation of the regime change campaign in Syria is a repeat of the “civil war” that allegedly began in 2011. Western media also euphemistically refer to the fighters as “rebels.” This is a blatant omission and cover-up of the fact that the recent offensive to capture Aleppo, the city of Hama, and Damascus in the south was led by the terrorist organization Hayat Tahrir al-Sham. The Western media is busy covering up the origins of HTS as a splinter group of Al Qaeda and the Islamic State and as a rebranding of the also terrorist Al Nusra. The cover-up also hides the fact that the US and its NATO allies actively supported these terrorist organizations in Syria in order to bring about regime change.
Turkey, as a member of is a link in the war in Ukraine and Syria. Ankara is behind the Islamist terrorist groups in Syria by providing weapons and intelligence, while until recently supplying hundreds of drones to the Kiev regime. Turkish President Erdogan appears to have committed a treasonous act against a supposed peace agreement, the Astana Agreement, negotiated with Russia, Iran and Assad’s Syria to control the jihadist enclave in Idlib. Erdogan, as a staunch supporter of the Kiev regime, is logical to have been receptive to a NATO plan to open a second front in Syria in order to undermine Russia’s military operation in Ukraine. Both the US and Turkey wanted revenge for the previous defeat in Syria by Russia and Iran, which had allied themselves with the Syrian state forces of the Assad regime.
For anyone who follows the conflicts in Ukraine and Syria closely, it is as if they are also following closely the history of Western-backed terrorism in both cases. The confusion or doubt arises only because of the false narratives spread by the Western media about Ukraine and Syria and the supposedly harmless “Western values”. The Syrian jihadists and the Kiev regime, which uses terrorist parastate forces (supposedly Nazis) against Russian-speaking civilians, have the same Western masters.
The myopic West sees the overthrow of the Assad regime by the jihadists as a victory. The notorious “Western values”, having embraced the “neo-Nazis” in Ukraine, are now embracing the jihadists, using as an excuse the imperialist supremacy of the Western order and the indivisible “idol” of good and bad Nazis, good and bad jihadists, as the need demands. Once this idol was well hidden, with Western leaders at least trying to pretend to perpetuate the myth of Western values and democracy. Now things have gotten out of control so quickly that desperate measures are required, with all precautions being thrown in the trash, to reveal the ugly face of the Western political system that has been buried under the ashes of its conquests for so long.
In short, Western leaders no longer have time to orchestrate elaborate myths about Western values and plans for democracy, but are simply forced to act instinctively to save their declining empire. But in doing so, they accelerate the empire’s decline, exposing how illiberal and despotic it was from the start. (A typical example is the cancellation of the presidential elections in Romania a few days ago, because the sure winner in the second round would have been the pro-Russian nationalist Calin Gheorghescu).
The most recent example of this great decline of the Western political system is the sudden whitewashing by the West of the jihadist/terrorist of Al Qaeda, ISIS, Al Nusra and leader of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, Al-Joulani. The terrorist of Al Qaeda and its offshoots, Al-Joulani, the organization that killed thousands of Americans in the Twin Towers of New York, the jihadist who was rewarded with 10 million. dollars from the US government, he flirts with the Western media and Western governments, who treat him as a “progressive jihadist” and a “people’s hero” who discovers innocent prisoners in Assad’s dungeons, but who in reality are terrorists who, with their machetes, had beheaded dozens or hundreds of “infidels” or “gyawors”.
The West is eating itself like a snake with its tail in its mouth. The latest desperate “bailouts” in Ukraine and Syria are only accelerating the regression. Western elites are trying to buy time so that the entire edifice of “Western values”, including the EU, does not collapse. But the whole system is walking a fine line, the political duplicity of the globalizing technocrats has already reached its limit. They simply cannot afford to challenge any unpopular leader or any future election without the system collapsing under the weight of its unbridled tyranny. It has already collapsed, with the handful of globalized puppets busy putting on a smiling facade of normalcy in front of their own media cameras, as the foundation cracks beneath them.
