Russian Show of Force with Hypersonic ‘Kinzhal’ Missiles

Russia responded to the Dutch delivery of F-16s to Zelensky, using Kh-47M2 Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, combined with a sufficient number of drones. These weapons, with an operational range of 2,000 km, are capable of carrying nuclear or conventional warheads, and US officials have admitted that existing radar architectures are inadequate to detect and track them.

The night of the attack was called “the night of the dagger” as several Russian “Daggers” flew over the Khmelnitsky region and Kiev at the same time in a combined attack with drones and Iskander missiles. The Ukrainian Missile Guidance Control Center was neutralized and disabled by the strikes. The Mayor of Kyiv stated that two hypersonic missiles were shot down and the Russian side responded with a laugh…

The strike on the Missile Guidance Control Center was indeed successful and there are even reports that Western “special advisers” are among the victims. The Sheikh Tamir channel reports that “The explosion was heard almost all over Kiev but there was no impact on any civilian buildings.”

That same night, Starokonstantinov Airfield in the Khmelnitsky region was once again hit by the Daggers, destroying infrastructure and F-16 planes and hitting ammunition depots.

In Sumy, Zhitomir, Poltava regions vital infrastructure was affected. In Kharkiv along the railway line in the Kramatorsk region in the part still controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces there were many attacks on the train infrastructure. Also, the Novokramatorsky engineering plant, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine manufacture military equipment, was destroyed.

Finally, in the Dnepropetrovsk region, Iskander missiles destroyed the temporary deployment point of the 72nd mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Pavlograd. According to information from military observers, the attack was successful with many tanks being destroyed as well as serious losses of manpower.

Perhaps Russia’s use of hypersonic missiles is a reminder and a warning to the mindless Western voices calling for missile strikes inside Russia, as to who has the upper hand in the missile field…
