About 20 Ukrainian soldiers, including two officers, surrendered to Russian troops near Uglendar. Russian forces effectively surrounded Uglendar, entrenched in the forest zones north of the Kaslagachs River.

Military personnel in the city are short, and supplies of weapons, ammunition, and food are nearly exhausted. According to the Ukrainian prisoners, almost all of them had been recruited a few weeks ago and had been on the contact line for one to two weeks.

Many of them say that they asked for help from the administration, but it was not given.

Storming Toretsk: Russian army crushes advancing Ukrainians

The Russian army crushes the Ukrainians advancing in the direction of Toretsk. Russian troops are entrenched along Tsentralnaya Street at a depth of 650 meters and street fighting continues. In the northern part of the Severn Russian troops occupied the rest of the district.

Wave of desertions in the Ukrainian special forces in Kursk and elsewhere

Since we have many cases of desertion in elite Ukrainian units, then the situation is hopeless for Kiev.

In the special forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region, the number of desertion cases is increasing.

In several special forces of the Ukrainian army operating in the direction of Kursk, there are already many deserters in the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine remaining in the region, with the wave of desertions increasing.

The problem of Ukrainian soldiers deserting from the front line has become widespread

As local media wrote, the number of cases of abandonment and illegal abandonment of units in the first seven months of this year reached 37 thousand.

The total number of criminal cases under these articles since the beginning of the conflict with Russia has exceeded 80 thousand.

According to Russian journalistic sources of September 23, during the fighting in the Kursk region, the Ukrainians have lost 16.4 thousand soldiers and 127 tanks.

Panorama of the Ukrainian front

Donetsk direction:

The Russian Armed Forces continue to develop the offensive around Uglendar with regular successes. The settlement of Ostroe and the settlement of Krutoi Yar, which opens the way to Mirnograd, were captured. Pokrovsk remains under Ukrainian control, but its importance as a supply hub is significantly reduced. Civil fighting continues in Derzinsk. West of Volendar, the Russians breached the city’s perimeter defenses and surrounded the Ukrainian garrison.

Artemivsk direction:

No major changes. Fighting continues in the eastern part of Chasov Yar. Russian forces seek to improve flank positions.

Kharkiv direction:

Fighting continues near Volsansk and Glubovkoe, but without significant changes in the front line.

Kupyansk direction:

Russian forces are expanding their zone of control, advancing from Pesanoye to Kruglyakovka, reducing the distance from the contact line to 3 kilometers.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ military airfield infrastructure and drone production workshops were also damaged, according to the Russian Defense Ministry’s Sept. 22 report.

“The Russian Armed Forces are increasing the number of attacks on Ukrainian strategic depth,” notes the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

In theory, the Russians can launch 300 to 400 missiles simultaneously if they use their entire arsenal, including 20 Tu-95MS strategic bombers, warships, S-300 and S-400 air defense systems, Iskander and coastal defense systems
