Russia is expected to completely capture the strategic city of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk

In the Donetsk People’s Republic, Russian soldiers complete the capture of the town of Chasiv Yar west of Bakhmut. The Ukrainian armed forces turned the city in question into a heavily fortified area.

As a result, the capture of Chasiv Yar by Russian forces will be a really big blow to the Ukrainian army. The Russians would gain access to strategic heights and open the way for a possible future attack on the Slavs.

Chasiv Yar is almost entirely Russian

Russian military correspondent Alexander Fedorchak spoke about the battles in Chasiv Yar. According to him, Russian-Ukrainian conflicts are no longer taking place on the outskirts of the city, but within its territory. Currently most of the territory of Chasiv Yar is under the control of the Russian armed forces. Only some Ukrainian parts of the city remain to complete its occupation.

The Russian is very close to the contact line and therefore knows first hand what is happening in that sector of the front.

Various Russian units are fighting in Chasiv Yar, including the Espanyola volunteer brigade. This particular brigade was originally made up of volunteer football fans, but today Russian volunteers from all over the country fight in it.

The target of the Russian forces is the center of Chasiv Yar, specifically an area in the heart of the city. A fact that complicates things for the Russians is the fact that in this part of Chasiv Yar, civilian residents of the city remain to this day.
