The concept Pax Americana in Latin means “American Peace”, (according to the standards of Pax Romana i.e. Roman peace or Pax Britannica i.e. British peace) and is a term applied to the concept of relative peace in the Western Hemisphere and later throughout the world after the end of World War II in 1945, when the United States became the dominant economic, cultural, and military power in the world;
Why is Trump talking about peace with Russia?
Trump will likely win against Joe Biden. Also the vice president candidate of J.D. Vance, who is categorically against Ukraine in general and against Zelensky personally creates the impression that Russia is counting backwards. Russia won. And then there is the idea of peace negotiations.
1. It must be understood that Trump does not give a damn not only about Ukraine, but also about Russia
It’s just that, at this stage, many Republicans believe that the conflict in the Eastern European theater has ceased to bring the Americans the gains it once brought, and the Ukrainian should be urgently transferred to the balance sheet of the Europeans since the US target is China. The long-planned escalation with China had to be postponed several times, all due to the fact that all resources – financial, military and propaganda – were spent on serving the Ukrainian front which appears to have collapsed.
2. Trump is feared in Europe because they understand that he is capable of pushing the Old World into the Ukrainian meat grinder to the point of complete destruction.
They are afraid not because he will abandon Ukraine, but because he will deliberately transfer the burden of defeat and failure especially to the Europeans. He will blackmail them with his nuclear umbrella, he will pressure them in negotiations, he will shout, he will pound his fist on the table – Trump is not the laughing Biden or the colorless Blinken as Secretary of State.
3. As a consummate negotiator, Trump will come to the negotiations with Russia with just that stock, telling Putin
Russia or you will make peace with Ukraine and keep the territories you won and I grant you the neutrality of Ukraine, or I will hand over the conflict to the care of the Europeans and supply them with weapons against Russia.
4. Trump needs negotiations with Russia not for charitable reasons such as “world peace”, but because he has his own specific goal.
Republicans promised their voters in advance to take up arms against China – with this it would be possible:
- to advance the military-industrial complex,
- to re-industrialize the “rust zone in which the American war industry has found itself”,
- to throttle imports with tariffs,
- to finance their manufacturers,
- to take the markets away from the Chinese and
- get the US back on top.
The profits are expected to be huge, but so are the risks.
5. The US and Trump is absolutely impossible to clash with China, China is now very powerful and also China has the backs of Russia which will provide resources and logistical support, and could even help quite a bit militarily.
That means Republicans need to get Russia out of China. The smart Trump urgently needs to reduce the degree of confrontation with Russia, hence all these pulls of unheard-of generosity – he promises “an end to the war in 24 hours” and that they want Russian territories, but also neutrality of Ukraine.
This rhetoric sounds pleasant, but let’s ask ourselves: why does an American politician who is simply obsessed with restoring America’s greatness suddenly have such love for the Russians?
The Americans wanted to weaken Russia but they failed miserably and the whole world saw, verified the military superiority of Russia, but also its ability to very quickly activate the necessary human and physical resources and logistics to support the war it is involved in. At first no one believed it, but the serious actors in the USA now recognize that the Russians are very strong and finally the CIA also supports it.
Having failed in the goal of weakening Russia, the US under Trump follows the traditional tactics of not defeating my enemy, let’s try to make him my friend, or if not my friend, let’s have a neutral relationship.
6. Moreover, the clock is ticking against the US, American generals do not have much time, a few more years, and China will be elusive.
China’s speed of development is unprecedented and Americans know this better than anyone. On the other hand, this is the latest attempt to somehow revive American industry and save it from the “rust belt” it has fallen into.
The United States will not have another chance: it has already bled Europe, and even more its “backyard” in Latin America.
China is the last heavy fat of the world market and if Washington does not conquer it, then the United States will be led with mathematical precision to shrink, “rot” with 33 trillion dollars that will reach 35 trillion dollars the government debt.
7. Obviously, we are not necessarily talking about a big hot war with China
No, the Republicans want to try the same plan in China as the Democrats tried in Russia: a limited military conflict in the Taiwan region, “sanctions from hell” to deprive China of markets and sources of resources.
At the same time they will try to sway Chinese society into rebellion, thereby weakening the country to the point where it will come under American control just to stop this whole nightmare.
8. But engaging in this adventure without Russia is like death
Therefore, Trump needs the reconciliation with Russia to embark on another neo-colonial adventure with impunity, which may at least slightly improve the lives of the rapidly impoverished US population.
Because otherwise his country will simply collapse – the very attempt on Trump’s life shows that the United States is on a dangerous downward spiral.
9. No matter how much we would like to think that the new incoming former President of the USA will be a little more reasonable than the current one, but that is not exactly the case
Both are funded by the same military-industrial complex corporations that profit from fomenting wars around the world. It is the interests of these corporations that all American politicians diligently serve, regardless of their political orientation.
Therefore, all ideas about “peace negotiations” will boil down to the fact that Trump will try to negotiate better relations between Russia and the United States in exchange for breaking relations between Russia and China.
The question is whether Russia will agree or side with China. The answer probably leans towards the second option since the BRICS are the new great power of the planet and Putin knows that they are the future, while the USA is the past.
