Batteries that will charge in a few seconds will be produced by Israelis, changing the data in the field of electric mobility. The new automotive revolution has been brought about by electrification, fundamentally changing everything we knew until now about our favorite means of transport. This is a major new chapter in automotive history, requiring drivers to forget about internal combustion engines and turn to charging cables and electric motors. As a product of time, electrification is increasing its fan base, although there are still many who refuse to embrace electricity, fearing the autonomy of electric vehicles, which is accompanied by dissatisfaction with the insufficiently developed charging network.
A solution to this problem is promised by the Israeli company “StoreDot”, which has already entered into partnerships with car giants such as Volvo and Mercedes, and aims to make available on the market from next year batteries that can they are equipped with 160 km within 5 minutes. Also, its goal by 2028 is to produce semi-solid state batteries that will “get” 160 km in 3 minutes, and in 2032 batteries that will reach the same level of charge in just 2 minutes. For now, however, she does not know how she will achieve her long-term goal. StoreDot’s current approach involves replacing the graphite in the anode of a lithium-ion battery with silicon microparticles.
