Iran and Iraq are preparing to attack US bases if the US strikes Hamas

Iran and Iraq, now allies after the Shiite takeover of Baghdad and the anti-Western-anti-Israel sentiment of Iraq’s Sunnis still strong, are moving in response to US moves to support Israel: Large forces of Iraqi paramilitary organizations have been deployed in Lebanon-Israel border through Syria (over 7,000), while an additional 20,000 Iraqis have been gathered in sorting centers in Iraq.

The most dangerous thing now is that the Iranians are ready together with the Iraqis to strike the US forces based in Iraq in the event that the US becomes actively involved in the fight against Hamas.

Iraqi officers are calling for “Iraq to be immediately rid of American influence and for the United States to be forced to remove its military bases from the country.”

The Iranian Army has reinforced one armored brigade on the northern border with Iraq and the head of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Lt. Gen. Hossein Salami at the Friday Prayer in Tehran and responding to the Israelis who denounce the killing of hundreds of civilians in the attack by Hamas on his last Saturday, spoke about the massacre at the Palestinian camps of Shabra and Shatila in Lebanon in 1982.
