‘UK could turn into ‘shattered territory’ after handing over arms to Ukraine’, says Russian official Russian official from Crimea has threatened Britain with a ‘military response’ after vowing to send long-range missiles in Ukraine.
Britain has delivered Storm Shadow cruise missiles to the Ukrainian military, and already Ukrainian officers are preparing to use them ahead of the major offensive. Responding to reports that such an agreement had been reached, Moscow said the move would require “an adequate response from the Russian military”.
“Ukraine has long sought long-range missiles, but the US and other countries were reluctant to supply them in the event of escalation of attacks inside Russia, so Britain found itself facilitating Kiev,” said a Russian expert.

The Storm Shadow is a long-range cruise missile developed by British Aerospace and a French company, and carries a 450 kg conventional warhead with a range of up to 200 miles (300 km).
Speaking in the British Parliament, British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said: “The donation of these weapons systems gives Ukraine the best chance to defend itself against Russia’s continued brutality, particularly its deliberate targeting of Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, which is contrary to international fair enough. He added that the missiles would be used exclusively “within Ukrainian sovereign territory.”
The Kremlin’s envoy to Crimea said the UK is at risk of being destroyed after its decision to supply Ukraine with long-range Storm Shadow missiles to help in its fight against Russia.
Georgy Muradov, Crimea’s permanent representative under the Russian president, told Russia’s state-run RIA Novosti news agency in an interview published Friday that, “the United Kingdom could turn into a ‘broken territory’ after handing over weapons to Ukraine.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been asking Western allies for long-range missiles for months to help his country defend itself against Russia.
The Kremlin has warned that providing weapons capable of hitting Russian soil could lead to an escalation of the war.
“The English island itself is at risk of turning into a wasteland [after supplying Ukraine with depleted uranium shells and long-range missiles] aimed at Russia’s Crimea,” Muradov said.
Last month, adviser to the Ukrainian president Mykhailo Podoliak said he was confident that his troops would be in Crimea in just five months. The Russian official stressed that the United Kingdom is at the forefront of a direct unprovoked attack against Russia. All scenarios are possible in Ukraine, after the acquisition of cruise missiles by the Ukrainian forces, as the Russians are capable of using even tactical nuclear weapons.
