What are the Best Countries in Europe for Outdoor Adventure?

Those who organize their trips based on the perfect surf wave or the most difficult hiking trails certainly have an idea of where to find them. New research, however, is making things easier for adrenaline travelers by revealing the ultimate destinations for adventure getaways. With Google searches for ‘adventure holiday ideas’ increasing by +100% in the last twelve months, The Liberal Globe explored which European countries are best for adrenaline junkies. The ranking takes into account 8 different factors: altitude, lake areas, national parks, length of coastline, ski resorts, cycling routes and climbing routes.

According to the ranking, Germany ranks first with 268 roller coasters, 680 ski resorts, 61,911 cycling routes, 100,313 climbing routes and 268 roller coaster routes in a list of 42 countries. Second place is taken by France, which shares the highest altitude (4,809 meters) with third-placed Italy, while Norway and Sweden make up the rest of Europe’s top five thrill-seeking hotspots.
