Andreevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) fully captured – Offensive operation to liberate Vodyan continues – In Avdeevka, soldiers of the DPR 1st Army Corps broke through the strongholds of Ukrainian militants.
During offensive operations by Russian troops, Andreevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) was fully captured with heavy casualties among the Armed Forces of Ukraine, while the successful offensive operation to liberate Vodyan continues, according to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
In the Avdeevka direction, soldiers of the DPR 1st Army Corps broke through the strongholds of the Ukrainian fighters. Dominating the field were the 2S4 “Tulip”, powerful 240 mm self-propelled mortars capable of hitting even the most fortified Ukrainian targets, according to Russian sources.
Ukrainian forces continue attacks on the fronts of Donetsk, Krasnoliman, Kupyansk and South Donetsk, with the Russian army repelling attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the direction of Donetsk, the settlements of Belogorovka and Perse Travnia have been completely occupied by Russia. According to the Russian side, 50 Ukrainian fighters were killed, and 4 armored fighting vehicles, 3 self-propelled guns and 6 vehicles were destroyed.
In the direction of Kupyansk, Ukrainian forces attempted to attack the positions of Russian troops in the area of the settlement of Novoselo. As a result of damage from Russian fire, the Armed Forces of Ukraine retreated back to their original positions. About 50 Ukrainian fighters were killed and 10 tanks, 1 infantry fighting vehicle, 2 armored personnel carriers, 1 self-propelled gun and a car were destroyed.
In the Krasny-Liman direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine unsuccessfully tried to attack the positions of Russian troops in the direction of the settlements of Ploschanka, Chervonopopovka and Zhitlovka. The units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine retreated back to their original positions. As a result of a complex firefight, Ukrainian losses, as reported by Moscow, amounted to more than 40 fighters, 1 tank, 4 infantry fighting vehicles and 1 ammunition vehicle.
In the direction of southern Donetsk, the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to counterattack the positions of Russian troops in the areas of the settlements of Novomikhailovka, Novodonyetskoge and Novosiolka. More than 50 Ukrainian soldiers were killed, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, while 2 infantry fighting vehicles, 2 armored personnel carriers, MT-LB, an armored car and 4 vehicles were destroyed.
