The Operational Imbalance between the West and Russia

The West’s choice to rule out military choice, even if it is right, has consequences. Because at the same time the West is facing a country that has no moral problem or right to invade its neighbor. Since 1945, the Soviet Union has invaded Hungary (1956), Czechoslovakia (1968) and Afghanistan (1979). Russia, which succeeded it, invaded Georgia (2008) and now Ukraine (2014), (2022). It seems that in the mind of the current President of Russia and his party, the military invasion is something like a national sport.

On the contrary, in the minds of the Western world it is not. And this in itself creates an operational imbalance, which the President of Russia is trying to exploit in favor of his aspirations.

So we expected the war. We just did not know how to prevent it but also how to fight it. Only someone has to somehow stop Vladimir Putin. Today it is Ukraine, tomorrow it will be Poland or the Baltic countries. Once again, Joe Biden warned that Russia would not stop there.
