India’s First Home Aircraft Carrier Launches Marine Testing

It is a great success for both the Indian Navy and especially for the Indian Defense Industry to launch naval tests of the first domestic aircraft carrier design and construction called INS Vikrant (bold).

At the same time, India belongs to the club of the small number of countries in the world that could design, produce, and operate similar medium-sized aircraft carriers.

INS Vikrant

This displacement aircraft carrier 45000 tons and 262 meters long, was designed and built in India by 76%.

Its design was based on the existing INS Vikra ma distya aircraft carrier, which was purchased from the USSR / Russia and named Admiral Gorshkov.

Vikrant has a great evolution and integrates modern technological digital, electrical, and mechanical systems.

The information states that this Indian-made aircraft carrier will be equipped with the main fighter aircraft, the MiG-29k, although there are second thoughts of those in charge of the Rafale-F3R, while at the same time it will be equipped with the home-made HAL Tejas light fighter.

We wish good seas in Vikrant.
