Exhibition Aubrey Beardsley (1872 – 1898)

Aubrey Beardsley (1872-1898) died aged 25, just as his fame was growing. Because the works of this prolific artist were given widespread prominence, he became a leading name in the 1890s London scene. This exhibition is the first monographic display in France to focus on this original creator. It is even the first large exhibition on Aubrey Beardsley in Europe since one that took place in 1966 at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.


Aged 20, Aubrey Beardsley received his first major order from publisher J.M. Dent: to illustrate The Death of Arthur by Thomas Malory. For this, he produced several hundred drawings. From then on, he was able to make a living from his art. Whether in journals, anthologies, poetry or novels, Beardsley’s work became widely viewable in book publishing in England.

His illustrations for Oscar Wilde’s Salomé are among his most famous artworks. Exhibition organised by the Musée d’Orsay and the Musée de l’Orangerie, Paris, and the Tate Britain, London.

The retrospective exhibition of works by David Park (1911-1960) at the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco (SFOMA) is a gateway to getting to know the important American artist. David Park is a typical representative of the new 1950s acting current, as cultivated by Bay a group of painters who stayed as the bay area’s figurative.  Park has elements timeless and excellent ability to compose and color.

BRUSSELS (BELGIUM – EU)

Exhibition Conference du Mardi

The multi-collective exhibition at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts of Belgium in Brussels offers a panorama of the great modern teachers from the early 20th century and Paul Klee until the recent years. The representation is broad and international with a significant presence of Belgian art. The exhibition is based on three thematic levels and includes over 150 paintings, sculptures, engravings, mixed techniques, and installations.
