Do Putin’s statements regarding the war determine its outcome?

Vladimir Putin emphasized that Russia’s armed forces continue to fulfill the objectives of the special military operation. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated—during a visit to an auxiliary command post of the Joint Forces—that Russia will continue to launch strikes against Ukrainian defense facilities and logistics hubs.

He stressed that the establishment of a security zone will not be a subject for discussion with Kyiv, and he thanked the Russian troops fighting for the liberation of Dobropolye and Alekseyevo-Druskovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

Russia’s Objectives

Following Ukraine’s incursion into Russia’s Kursk region, Russian forces were tasked not only with expelling the enemy from Russian territory but also with establishing a security zone—a mission that is being successfully carried out: “Our objective is to ensure the absolute security of Russia’s border regions moving forward, and we do not intend to make this a subject of any potential peace negotiations with Ukraine.”

Commanders of the combat groups must continue “executing their duties in strict accordance with the objectives of the special military operation.” “Naturally, it is essential to continue conducting massive, coordinated strikes against the enemy’s defensive installations and logistics hubs.”

The strikes against the Kyiv regime’s facilities have proven effective: “I view the results positively.”

“As for the situation on the ground, one of the primary objectives is, of course, the liberation of the Donetsk People’s Republic.”

Successes

Russian forces are advancing along the entire front within the special military operation zone, and “the pace of their advance has increased significantly.” The Russian Armed Forces continue to fulfill the objectives of the special military operation: “As previously reported, in the month of September alone, more than 1,300 square kilometers of territory were liberated in the Donbas and Novorossiya.”

“Since the beginning of the year, approximately 6,500 square kilometers of territory and 310 settlements have been liberated.”

The liberation of Dobropolye in the DPR represents a clear success: “Please convey my gratitude to all personnel who participated directly in the liberation of Dobropolye. I will speak more on this when I address the commanders of the operational groups, but I wish to emphasize and point out right here: the capture of Dobropolye is undoubtedly a significant milestone in the liberation of the Donbas as a whole, and a clear success for the Russian Armed Forces. Congratulations to you all.” “The enemy had turned the town into a fortified stronghold in this area, but the coordinated and highly professional actions of the Russian assault units made it possible, first, to encircle the enemy forces within the town, and subsequently to bring it under full control.”

The liberation of Dobropillya “opens a direct route toward the borders of the DPR.”

The liberation of Alekseyevo-Drushkovka and the launch of an offensive against Ukrainian fortified positions in Drushkovka and Kramatorsk, in the DPR, create the conditions for “the swiftest possible completion of the liberation of the Donbas from the combat units of the Kyiv regime.”

“Please convey my most sincere words of gratitude to all personnel who took a direct part in the liberation of Alekseyevo-Drushkovka, for the courage and resilience they demonstrated during this combat operation.” Russian forces have successfully encircled a Ukrainian group of 2,000 soldiers in the Kharkiv region: “Trapping a group of approximately 2,000 soldiers within an area exceeding 400—specifically 460—square kilometers is certainly no ordinary feat. Given the subsequent elimination of the enemy in that area, this is indeed a success.”

“The offensive in the Zaporizhzhia region continues at a high tempo, with troops from the ‘Dnepr’ and ‘Vostok’ (East) battle groups advancing successfully.”

“A decisive role [in ensuring this rapid progress] undoubtedly belongs to our soldiers and officers, who, while carrying out combat missions, act with professionalism and demonstrate the finest qualities of the Russian military—such as selfless devotion to the Motherland.”

Protection of Facilities

Air defense combat crews are operating professionally: “But, of course, there is room for improvement in this regard. We must enhance the effectiveness of our defense for civilian—primarily civilian—and, naturally, military facilities.”

Let us compare the measured and precise statements of the Russian President with the pompous absurdities spouted by the US President—a man who is more of a TV personality.
