AΙ as a super tool in the hands of the oppressed to oppress individuals and societies

The term “artificial intelligence” implies the contrast with natural intelligence and, in particular, human intelligence.

However, human intelligence can analyze, decide, and create without any data and without any prior programming. If this were not the case, human civilization would not have progressed beyond the cave age. The first people analyzed the situation they found themselves in and decided, for example, to hunt for food, to wear furs, to sleep in caves for protection. No one programmed them with such “routines.” They were created by basic human intelligence to deal with problems. And history and civilization proceeded with such processes.

Now, what is this “branch of computer science” that develops artificial intelligence trying to create? Conditions in which people will not need to analyze, decide and create? Will a computer system, of some investment groups, take over this? Will progress and civilization depend on the level, foresight, psyche, complexes and motivations of some programmers and some businesses?

But what generations of people will such a situation create? What else than those incapable of evaluating, judging, deciding and creating?

Slaves of machines at all levels, from everyday life to major emergencies. Slaves to electricity. A civilization that will literally fall into a coma when the power is cut.

There are hundreds, perhaps thousands, of applications that the wise envision, to incorporate “artificial intelligence”. Decoding this perspective, everyone understands that we are talking about a cataclysmic change in human behavior. We are talking about removing people from thousands of professions. Also about abolishing many professions.

For example, since AI and robotics “created” autonomous vehicles, it is certain that in just a few years the profession of driver will be abolished. Millions of people will find themselves without a job. And these people may be excellent drivers but in a more general context they do not have many qualifications for the broader job market and a change of profession. And with them will be abolished driving schools, driving instructors and examiners.

The same will happen to a significant part of navigation, aviation, medicine, law, architecture, the military, security services, the economy, the state sector, service provision, customer service and the list can go on and on…

What will become of all these workers? And also think about something else. The existence of AI, e.g. in autonomous vehicles, is based on many decades of information from the road safety industry, car engineers, designers, drivers, passengers, insurance, vehicle production engineers, road and highway engineers, and even meteorology.

When, after a few years, these professionals disappear, where will “AI” draw conclusions for analysis and decisions… from the octa-core Intel Xeon 6369P 3.3GHz or its equivalent?

The governments of the developed world are aware of this and for this reason, for example, the EU Commission is calling for the establishment of a minimum guaranteed income that will be provided to every citizen whether they work or not. Given that all these workers in different sectors will lose their jobs, they must have an income so that they do not starve, do not rebel, and remain silent.

The philosophical phrase of Protagoras is well-known: “Man is the measure of all things.” A phrase that wants to emphasize that knowledge and truth are subjective. This phrase also highlights the timeless truth of human civilization, that man creates based on his “measures”!

I wonder how beneficial it will be for man to remove man from the equation?

And when everything will depend on the programming that some companies will impose, based on their desires and motivations. And the subjective “collective truth” of those who will design and implement the systems will become mandatory for everyone else.

But even if we bypass the problem of work. Even if some “predictions” of AI supporters come true. In other words, if with the rational application of AI in society, people will supposedly be freed from boring or dangerous or arduous tasks and the “bright future” will progress so much that they will not even have to work (yes, that’s what they say) how and why will this be positive?

Work is creation, it is a contribution to society, it is contact with the general problems of a society, that is, socialization and contribution. Work is a journey, learning and leads to knowledge and maturity. How and why will these be eliminated from people’s lives?

And how will suddenly so many political frauds and criminal enterprises of all kinds disappear, so that the AI progress model can be applied?

How do they expect us to believe that oppressors of all kinds will not exploit such a super-tool to subjugate individuals and societies?

The core of democracy is accountability. Everything else matters little. What is most important is that whoever exercises power is accountable to the one being ruled. If that is not the case, then whatever name you give it, unaccountability and tyranny reign supreme.

Who will be held accountable tomorrow? From the data center in Utah or from the Apple fans that overheated the system?

There is no “artificial intelligence”. There are powerful computing machines that execute specific commands. There are machines that imitate humans. That is, bad copies of humans. There are some whose human intelligence brakes their plans for superprofits and they found a satanic way to lead it.

Ultimately, we do not know if artificial intelligence is intelligent, but it is certainly not smart of us to accept it.

First they will sell us security. Then benefits. Just like in prisons. You do what you’re told, when you’re told, and you eat and sleep without doing anything.
