The Kurds are not learning. Unfortunately. Once again, the intelligence services are instrumentalizing the Kurdish desire for an independent state and as revealed by journalistic information, the Mossad and the CIA are arming and financing several Kurdish factions that are now preparing for a ground attack on Iran. Once again, the Kurds will bleed and be deceived by the intelligence services.
No war can be won without a ground intervention. Bombings have their uses, but for there to be substantial success, the military must be involved. This is of course a huge red line for the US. In the case of Iran, this war has little support from public opinion and has already damaged Trump’s image as a peacemaker, “who had not fought a war and would stop the war in Ukraine overnight”…
Iran’s population is very large, anti-American sentiment is very high, and the “Revolutionary Guards” are war-ready and well-trained. Iran’s terrain makes ground operations difficult. Therefore, the possibility of significant losses of US soldiers in a ground conflict in Iran is enormous! And this is the most important factor in deterring such an intervention. This war does not benefit the US. It is Israel’s war. Losses of US soldiers will prove disastrous for the Trump administration and for the Republican party.
On the other hand, Israel is completely incapable of supporting a ground attack on Iran. Such a thing is completely outside the operational capabilities of the Israeli army.
The solution is therefore sought in some willing and expendable people. The Kurds. The intelligence services are preparing them to bring an army into Iran.
These militias “have thousands of fighters” along the border between Iraq and Syria and their goal will be to try to seize a Kurdish area inside Iran “to challenge the regime” and trigger “a broader uprising”.
Israel promised the Iranian Kurdish factions “not only military support but also political support for a Kurdish autonomous region in a future Iran if the government of the Islamic Republic collapsed” as the Arab press wrote.
Certainly, a Kurdish military involvement would be a problem for the Iranian leadership. But the Kurds are more interested in encapsulating a region with the prospect of a future state than in marching victoriously into Tehran chasing down the “evil mullahs.” So it is uncertain how much they will hurt the Iranian leadership or how much they will succeed in igniting a broader uprising.
White House press secretary Carolyn Levitt told reporters at a regular briefing on Wednesday that US President Donald Trump had spoken recently with Kurdish leaders but that Washington had no plans to use Kurdish militias to support an operation against the Iranian regime. So why did he speak? Does the President have so much free time? This denial from a completely unreliable government, which yesterday supports alpha, today beta and tomorrow goes to war, is a confirmation of journalistic information.
In the context of all the above, the Iranian armed forces have already struck Kurdish forces that are gathering on their borders.
The Iranian regime, we cannot easily decode it. It is very likely that there are sad oppressions of people and violations of what we call “human rights”.
But neither the USA nor Israel have ever been, are or will be in the future the appropriate forces to defend the weak.
Both countries are authoritarian to a criminal degree. The USA talks about freedom and democracy but has Guantanamo, the despicable Patriot Act, intervenes militarily in any country they feel can earn a dollar and has bombed civilians all over the planet. They shamelessly throw away alliances and commitments and ask for Greenland, simply because…it benefits them. For Israel, I don’t need to give examples; anyone who sees photos of Gaza being turned into a demolition site will understand, if they want to…
Hour after hour, day after day, it is confirmed that Iran will not fall easily. Until the treacherous allies manage to do so, much blood will be shed, many countries will suffer from energy problems and a tsunami of illegal immigration. But for Israel, the end justifies the means (!). If he wins, Netanyahu will put on the robes of David and indulge in a hedonistic Baalist ritual.
The rest of us… let’s be careful…
