Great Britain and Germany will develop a missile to attack targets with a maximum range of over 2,000 kilometers

Great Britain and Germany have announced their intention to develop a missile capable of attacking targets with a maximum range of more than 2,000 kilometers. The two countries intend to have the new missile available in the 2030s. Further details on the characteristics and timetable of the program were not announced. However, the target of a maximum range of 2,000 kilometers means that the missile could be ballistic or cruise technology. The cooperation between the two countries is the result of the intergovernmental agreement of October 2024 (Trinity House Agreement), according to which London and Berlin will strengthen their cooperation in the field of defense. We also recall that in 2024, France, Germany, Italy and Poland signed a Letter of Intent to develop a European capability to attack targets at long distances, over 1,000 kilometers.
