A Multipolar World – Part II

Western media loves to refer to Dugin as “Putin’s brain” or “Putin’s philosopher.” For our analysis, let’s refer to him more as a modern “philosopher of Russia.” Regarding President Putin, we recall that we are in the middle of negotiations between him and the American President Trump, so before we go to what led to the Russian-Ukrainian war, namely the expansion of NATO and all the other concerns shared by Russian Nationalists, it is worth examining quickly and episcopalally what we can, but also to establish some real data regarding Putin and his state of mind today compared to 2022.

Of course, I think it is difficult to assess realistically and with due accuracy for the public, the true components and manifestations of President Putin, because we are at a very great distance from him, even if we operate as independent thinkers with our own opinion and maintaining our own image of him, more clearly than other Europeans, as they are devoted anti-nationalists and critics of Putin. This is the result of Putin’s common involvement as a political leader in Nationalism as theory and practice. As anti-systemic researchers who coolly examine and analyze the logic of Russian identity, so seen in this way President Putin is deeply and completely “Russian”, as of course is the beloved of European Nationalists Alexander Gelievich Dugin, whose thought we will use in the present analysis as a guide.

Both of these men emit and transmit their Russianness, as a deep identity, in the governance of the country in the case of Putin or in the in-depth analysis of the main challenges and main horizons of the country, in the case of Dugin. The fact is that they share with Putin the same concern (although not on equal terms) for the same main characteristics and main foundations of Russia, an attitude that creates a kind of image that they are “very close.” Dugin has described the future of Russia starting from the late 1980s, during the last phase of the Soviet Union, expressing his assessment of what should happen and how his country should proceed based on the logic of Russian history and the classical axioms of geopolitics.

Dugin has gathered all the philosophy of the Russian tradition, the Christian Orthodox faith and the vision of the future, approaching the idea of the Antichrist as the existence and functioning of the Western, perverted, materialistic and atheistic civilization. Not just deeply regretting how the powerful Russia of the past was lost, but with the idea of dynamically transforming this nostalgia and turning it into a productive work of restoration and reconstruction for this past.

The thinker and his entourage had a clear idea of the projection of Russian identity into the future and had been talking about it since the late 80s, so when Vladimir Putin came to power, they immediately recognized in him the person capable of completing this task, without maintaining any special relations with him. The murder of Daria Dugina, Dugin’s daughter, in August 2022 in a car bomb explosion near Moscow, played a significant role in the fact that Dugin is now more often invited to the Kremlin. After this criminal act, the President of Russia began to take a “seriously” interest in Dugin’s personality and work. Characteristically, a month after Daria’s murder, on September 30, 2022, President Putin used one of Dugin’s favorite terms, the term “Anglo-Saxons”, for the first time in his years in power, in a public speech.

Alexander Gelievich is categorical and unreserved: “The symbolic meaning of what is happening worldwide is obvious, but it is not possible to predict how the relationship between the Spiritual logic of history and its immediate real situation will develop this time. However, this does not prevent us from trying to decipher the signs of the times as accurately as possible.

The US Presidents change, China under Xi Jinping has changed, while the differentiated power of the two Powers has inevitably differentiated their influence in the world. The rest of the world has also changed in so many different ways. To formulate a clear and realistic philosophy, we rely on “the recognition of the essential existence of Eternity.

In Eternity as a dimension of Being.” The profound Dugin says: “I believe in God. I believe in the logic of History. I believe in the Spirit. I believe in the Soul. So in my opinion there are Eternal values, Eternal beings, Eternal foundations of countries and people.” The same happens with his homeland, post-Soviet Russia under Putin, which was chosen by the world at a certain moment in history as the continuation and “heir” of the Byzantine Empire (The Third Rome, as Russian geopolitical and religious thinkers and leaders like to call Russia).

The role of Russia is particularly crucial, the role of the mystically religiously constituted personality of the “Cosmic Protector”, the “Warrior of the Antichrist”, the “Conqueror”, as he was designated in the letters of St. Paul, but also beyond that by the Orthodox Christian fathers. The Emperor of the state of the Christian Empire, until his last day, carried out a kind of eternal mission. According to Dugin, this constitutes the timeless “Eternal Dimension” of the God-given mission of “Holy Russia”, which concerns not only the past but also the future until the ultimate moment, until the “Beyond Time” and in this sense all of Russian history acquires its unique meaning.

The Russian thinker says: “The end of the Soviet Union is primarily interpreted in this context, as the return of Russia to its eternal roots, but in the 90s, (which was our great disaster), we moved towards the West, accepted liberal globalizing values and almost lost our sovereignty, the ability to restart in order to return to our place in order to complete our historical mission.

And with Putin the miracle happened: We returned to history and the whole world around us changed, there was only Russia as an independent sovereign pole to oppose the Western liberal globalizers and not only the West, but also global liberalism.

When President Trump came to power, we discovered that there are also in the West, in the great liberal West, sincere real Patriots. We have discovered Trump’s America, and with such a West, we could find common principles. I think that now we are historically in a very special, very special situation. We are following the same line, but the revolution is on the side of the Americans this time. I can interpret Trumpism as a conservative revolution.

Now, when I look at who the main critics of Trumpism are, I see that they are the defenders of deep state globalization and liberalism, who have the same arguments that they have been using against us since the beginning of our rebirth. So we see with joy when Trump declares that he is in favor of the two natural sexes, since the sexes were created by God. We are happy to see how he approaches history, preserving the identity and culture of each people, politics, destroying state bureaucracy, promoting accountability of those responsible, which manifests the real will and power of the people. We accept all these elements clearly. And when we see what Trump is doing now with great speed, so very quickly, we think that this is a kind of second miracle in current history, since – in my opinion – the first miracle was Putin’s coming to power.

The United States of America and perhaps with it the entire Western world will be saved from the same catastrophe. I think that now there is a moment in which we share the same tendency to defend identity, to return to traditional values, and even more so, perhaps we share the same plan for the future. Obviously, we all need projects for the future. Of course, at the same time, we should not neglect the differences between our Traditional Values, because behind America there is its own history, with its specific Protestant, Anglo-Saxon values, while behind us there is the basis of the Christian Orthodox Tradition. These two general conceptions do not have the same worldview, they do not “think the same thing”.

But there is no such radical opposition between us as the one that we both have against liberal globalization, because liberal globalization is absolutely inhuman. It destroys peoples and their cultures, while forcing the “other”, the different, the dissenter, to destroy their human dignity. Here, Trump is on our side and this is how this undeclared war will be waged, so we need to rethink the whole thing and very quickly.

In this context, we need to reconsider our relationship with the United States, because now they are something different, they are something new and … much closer to us than the previous government of Russia before Putin.

We are in the phase of shaping a new world order. This multifaceted dynamic process is the scene of hot conflicts. The worst thing is that we are now in danger of nuclear war. Attacks on Russian cities could start a nuclear war at any moment. Do not be complacent and do not be indifferent! We have never been so close to a nuclear war.

In this war, not only tactical nuclear weapons will be used, but also strategic nuclear weapons…. . Therefore, anyone who supplies weapons to Ukraine today should know that he is increasing the risk of nuclear war. The Third World War, in a sense, has begun. We are just in the early stages of it. NATO leaders do not understand that the steps they are taking could lead to a nuclear tragedy. An attack on Russia would be the destruction of the world. If NATO continues its current policy, this terrible day is inevitable.

Right now, a war is already underway between the poles: Between the unipolar world order that the West is trying to protect at all costs and the emerging multipolar system. The lines of conflict are in Ukraine, Palestine and Taiwan. Also, a new front may open in Africa and South America.

Know and remember that President Putin recently said something about European leaders: “All EU leaders will stand at the feet of the Master – referring to Trump – and gently wag their tails”, which essentially means that Europe will ultimately follow whatever the US says or does.

All the wrong, false accusations against Russia were orchestrated by Soros and other dark globalizing networks. Now we see that the very same forces and political movements in Europe that Trump invited to his inauguration are in favor of peace with Russia. This gives thinking people of good faith hope for a future understanding between Putin and Trump.

I think that these very special conditions, the absolutely unprecedented and unique conditions of balance of forces and ideological trends in the new world after Trump’s victory, give us hope that we could finally bring peace and talk about cooperative Russian intervention and assistance to European countries.

We must fully understand and deeply realize that:

We are in the midst of the “Great Transition” – a profound shift unfolding in multiple dimensions:

  1. Geopolitically: This transition marks the convergence of two waves – the rise of multipolarity and the decline of unipolarity.
  2. Ideologically: It marks the end of the “liberal moment”, which peaked at the end of the 20th century, only to subsequently enter a sharp decline.
  3. Technologically: We are on the brink of morphofunctional singularity, where humanity faces potential displacement and displacement by advanced artificial intelligence.

The future is shaped by the following three interrelated forces:

  1. Multipolarity, which is the central pillar of the process.
  2. The end of liberalism and the global trend towards a conservative revolution (or towards right-wing “post-liberalism”, as American Vice President Vance puts it).
  3. A technological leap into the realm of post-humanism.

Now, more than ever, the world needs independent thinking, which looks fearlessly forward, independent of ideological dogmas and capable of systematically examining the processes that are reshaping our world.

As soon as we move away from geopolitical science, we begin to sink into a whirlpool of details, misinterpretations and confrontations, which do not allow us to understand what is exactly happening: Who is an enemy, who is a friend, and what is more, friends and enemies are constantly changing.
