President of Palestine Liberation Authority (PLO) Mahmoud Abbas issued an angry statement on Tuesday (May 19th) mentioned categorematically that «The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Palestinian state are now exempt from all agreements and negotiations with the US and Israeli governments, respectively».
The decision, according to the Palestinian Authority President, came in response to the new Israeli government’s plan to annex large parts of the West Bank.

The action that provoked the PLO’s reaction
The long-standing policy of Israel’s longest-serving Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has been waging peace talks for several years, and his commitment to annexing in the state of Israel the Jordan Valley and the Jewish colonial settlements, all of which Jewish colonial settlements are 1/3 of the occupied Palestinian territories, citing the Israeli Prime Minister’s ideological and religious reasons for creating a Jewish state from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, caused the above announcement of the PLO.
At the same time, US President Donald Trump’s unequivocal support for Israel, which has been eyeing the electorate of American Evangelical Christians who support Israel’s vision, believe that this plan will speed up the Second Coming of Jesus Christ on Earth, changing today’s world, are the main reasons for the removal of the prospect of the two states.
Proponents of the two-state peace plan believe the mandatory annexations will ignite the wick to destroy the creation of Palestinian state’s plan.
The fact that with this decision the President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas declares that he is stopping his cooperation with Israel in the field of security that protected both Israelis and Palestinians from any kind of attack is a bad omen.
The decision is aimed at Israel, fearing any possible attacks on Israeli citizens that will then create social unrest at high political cost to put social pressure on the Israeli government fear to lose voters and part of the electorate that will force it to not implement the annexation decision.

The other geopolitical “players” who want to set foot in this Middle East area
In addition, it should be understood that if this decision of PLO is implemented, the cessation of cooperation in the field of security will give third parties the right to enter and support in the background the extreme and fanatical Palestinian components of attacks on Israel.
When we say third “players” we mean first and foremost Turkey, which wants to receive in return for the undivided economic and political assistance offered to the Palestinian naval base on the West Bank and to use the Palestinians as a lever of pressure on Israel to annex even distance, in the geopolitical sphere of Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean, creating a “thorn” in the “sides” primarily of Egypt to encircle it with the presence that Turkey already has in Libya but also in the “sides” of Israel.
Second is Iran, whose geopolitical sphere of influence has stretched from Lebanon and Syria to Yemen, covering almost the largest percentage of the Middle East, more openly threatening Saudi Arabia.
However, the recent agreement between Iran and the United States regarding the agreement on the placement of a jointly accepted Prime Minister in Iraq (please read the analysis entitled «The New Government in Iraq shows the Road of Cooperation between US and Iran», ) in exchange for lifting some of the US financial measures imposed on Iran and lifting Iran’s access to its deposits in European banks, while Iran has agreed to limit its involvement in Lebanon, Syria and the West Bank in order not to create problems for Israel.
Certainly, extremist fanatical components of Iran’s theocratic regime will seek to establish control and direction of Palestinian fanatics, but this is a possibility that may not materialize.
Both peoples (Israelis and Palestinians) should focus on how to bring order and long-term prosperity to the Palestinian people, which will then ensure Israel’s prosperity and security.
It is the ongoing social prosperity of a people that will isolate and shrink any fanatical supporters of war against Israel. And it is poverty and misery on the other hand that are raising the ears of the population to the propaganda of the fanatics.
When children and their parents do not see a future and do not participate in a daily routine that is considered a given in developed countries, then it is extremely easy to become “customers” of fanatical propaganda.
Ιn Israel, the only way to stop the plan to annex Jewish settlements seems to be the election of Joe Biden as President of the United States in the November US election, which is a Democratic candidate who has publicly opposed unilateral annexations in the Middle East.
Difficult times when brave decisions are needed on all sides for the long-suffering Middle East to move forward peacefully.
