The inauguration of the new US President Donald J. Trump took place with all the solemnity. The “Rotunda” room in the Capitol (decorated suffocatingly with meanders…) was full of Trump’s friends and supporters, but also all his enemies! Biden and Harris, Obama, the Clintons, the Bushes and several of their associates were present. From the first moment Trump entered the room, you could see that he was serious and restrained if not angry.
Trump observed every aspect of the protocol. And then came the moment of his speech. And everyone understood why he was so serious. Trump said it all and out loud.
He said that the time had come for the crooks, the incompetents and the problematic ones (who were sitting stunned next to him…) to leave. He said that they betrayed the country. They abandoned it so that their cronies could make money. He said they used justice as their little dog.
And then he said what his government would do. How it would change all the paranoia, implementing the “politics of common sense”. How it would seal the borders, how it would hunt down criminals, how it would reform the public sector, how the American state would recognize only 2 leaves, male and female, how it would heal the injustices done by the previous ones, how it would restore freedom of speech, how it would make “America great again”.
“January 20, 2025, is a day of liberation for the country”, he declared. When the official ceremony was over, Trump went two floors down, to another room, where the “ordinary people” were waiting patiently. There we saw the Trump we knew. Smiling, with humor and good mood. And he admitted it all. “You are the youngest and most smiling audience I have spoken to today and I do so with great pleasure, unlike the “types” in there…”
The inauguration of a President who feels better with the “plebeians” than with the “patricians”, a President who literally went through fire and iron (92 prosecutions and 3 assassination attempts) to win over a criminal gang, who takes over a decadent empire and promises reason and prosperity, is a significant political event. President Trump said that “now the golden age of the United States will begin”. That America will be respected all over the world.
All of this is very good. America, at least since World War II, has been a cruel empire. It ruled with lies, with schemes, with rapists, with blood. It did not hesitate to murder, to oppress, to deceive. And it did not do all of this for the well-being of its citizens. It condemned them to exploitation and illiteracy. It did it so that the few, the exploiters, the globalists, could get rich.
Of course, we would be very happy to see a major country change its ways and power tomorrow. But we must, with our small voice, warn President Trump.
If he is sincere about the well-being of the people, if he speaks the truth about common sense politics, if he cares about America being respected, there is only one way.
Not to measure success by money. Not to put the weight on the material but on the spirit. To apply ethics and justice. To protect the law and not international interests. To stop wars. To invest in the formation of a US state that will protect what is right and not interest. Only in this way can someone become “great” and gain respect.
You will tell me that this does not happen… Trump declared in his inauguration that: “in America we do well, with the impossible.” And in saying that, he reminded me of Kennedy who had said “we will do it not because it is easy but because it is difficult“.
However, since America is not used to this, it would be nice to see it…
