Thousands of Russian marines with 300 landing craft arrived in the Dnieper

As Ukraine continues to lose territory in the eastern part of the country, Russia is increasing its pressure on the southern edges of the country every day. According to the Ukrainian military spokesman, Russian troops are attacking Ukrainian units in the Dnieper region to distract the Ukrainian army from other sectors of the front.

Another senior Ukrainian commander said that Moscow is planning to launch a massive offensive in the direction of Kherson in the coming days.

He revealed that Russian forces have gathered 300 boats in the area with the ultimate goal of crossing the Dnieper River and attacking the Ukrainian army.

We would like to remind you that since the Ukrainian recapture of the city of Kherson in November 2022, the Ukrainian military map has remained almost untouched in the southern part of the country. The Ukrainians have attempted to cross the river several times, but all their attempts have been drowned in blood. Given all this, the Dnieper River has proven to be an insurmountable obstacle for both sides.

The Russians Are Preparing the Ground

Russia is currently preparing the ground for a major landing operation on the other bank of the Dnieper River. To this end, these days the Russian forces are pounding the Ukrainian troops with kamikaze drones. Thus, they are weakening their defenses and preparing the ground for the landing.

Specifically, since mid-July this year, Kherson and the surrounding villages on the west bank of the Dnieper River have received more than 9,500 attacks from small Russian drones.

Russia has deployed some of its best drone units to the region.

In any case, the Russians must continue their efforts to weaken Ukrainian defenses if they are to cross the river with relative safety. Otherwise, their boats will become easy targets for Ukrainian drones and anti-tank missiles.
