Russians in Donetsk – They captured Ilyinka and Rivne and control 70 percent of Toretsk

The 114th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian army successfully captured the village of Ilyinka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. After a successful offensive operation, the Russian flag was raised over the Ukrainian settlement.

According to Russian information, the Moscow Defense Ministry will confirm the capture only after the village is completely “cleansed” of Ukrainian soldiers.

Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that its forces had taken full control of the city of Rivne in the Donetsk People’s Republic. Again, the settlement was captured after a successful siege by the Kremlin’s armed forces.

The capture of the city of Rivne is expected to help Russian troops strengthen their positions in this sector of the Donetsk front and advance deeper into Ukraine.

Rivne is considered a strategically important settlement because it is located near important Ukrainian transport hubs. This creates the right conditions and opportunities for Russian soldiers to attack and seize important elements of the Ukrainian military logistics chain.

And finally, German analyst Julian Röpke, writing in the well-known German newspaper Bild, reported that Russian troops now control 70% of the large Ukrainian city of Toretsk, including its main streets.

Let us recall that the Russian army has been entering Toretsk for weeks, but the Ukrainian defenders are vigorously defending this large Ukrainian city of Donetsk.

After fierce fighting, Russian units have managed to penetrate 2.5 kilometers into the city, thus approaching its central neighborhoods.

Military correspondents speak of absolute chaos inside Toretsk. Russians and Ukrainians are fighting to the death for every building in the city, confirming daily the cruelty of urban warfare.

The Ukrainian army is trying to stop the Russian advance by all means. It is launching counterattacks from the north and south, but it seems that the Russians are so far successfully repelling them.

Finally, let us recall that Toretsk had a population of 50 thousand people before the war began.
