Vuhledar has fallen as Russian forces are raising flags of the Russian Federation in every part of the city! Flags have now also been raised in the western part of the city where there was still a Ukrainian military presence. The occupation of Vuhledar is admitted by the Ukrainians themselves.
In some parts of the city, clearance operations are still going on, but now it is a standard military procedure. When these are completed, the occupation of the city by the Russian Ministry of Defence will be formally announced.

It is a very big victory for the Russians by which they manage to occupy the entire southern Donbass and cut off much of the supply of the Ukrainians to the northern Donbass.
A supply which they will definitively and irrevocably cut off with the capture of Pokrovsk.
Ukraine paid for the operational error of committing what few reserves it had to an offensive without strategic advantage on Russian soil in Kursk.
Immediately after the capture of Vuhledar, the Russians will head to Kurakovo.
Vuhledar is the Donbass gateway to the Zaporizhia region while Pokrovsk is the Donbass gateway to the Dnipro region. To the west of these cities there is plain land up to the Dnieper river.
