Australia shows the Future as to what will happen on the Planet due to Climate Change

The horrific fires in Australia started from the start of the Australian Spring (October 2019) and continues until today that we are at the beginning of the Australian summer (January 2020) indicating that the untold catastrophe it will have a sequel, not allowing the Australians to breathe in the terrible fiery nightmare.

From October 2019 until today they have cremated more than 100000 square kilometers of land, while the country’s government is accused by the Australian people of not taking the appropriate measures to predict the emergence of this nightmare.

Unfortunately, the state of emergency in which Australia has been set for months will continue. The hero’s Australian firefighters watch helpless these terrifying-sized fiery fronts devour human lives, fortunes, land and very important part of the country’s rare flora and fauna.

Essentially, the entire planet is watching the destruction images in Australia, which will sooner or later appear in the future and in other regions of the world due to the forthcoming climate change. The mega-fires in Australia have caused a real holocaust.

The report on climate change concerning Australia and drafted in 2008 warned of all these devastating incidents that have been rising in recent months in Australia, alarm the risk to Australia due to the specificity characterized by vulnerable ecosystems and the few in number of available water resources.

Australia’s “stubborn” political leadership

The 30th Prime Minister of Australia and Head of the Liberal Party Scott John Morrison does not in any way accept that the combination of abnormal high temperatures and the prolonged drought causing the incredible fires is due to the phenomenon of climate change.

The main reason for this political stance by the Prime Minister of Australia lies in the fact that the dynamic development of the Australian economy and the well-being of Australian society in general was based over time on exports of huge stocks of the country’s mineral wealth, exports mainly to China and other countries in Asia.

This is reflected in the fact that the extraction of fossil raw materials and energy exports accounted for 64% of Australia’s exports during the period (2015-2016), while the mining sector with its associated technological equipment generates 15% of its GDP Australia.

In this context, it seems impossible for the country’s specific political leadership to provoke a shift in the Australian economy by dynamically developing other sectors that could also inject equivalent value and size revenues into the state supporting the country’s GDP. All this despite existing studies indicate that Australia can be transformed into a zero-pollutant economy without incurring economic catastrophe.

For all these reasons it is very difficult for the Australian government to accept as a cause of this immense catastrophe the forthcoming climate change on the planet, while at the same time promoting dynamically the construction of a new gigantic dimensions a lignite-fired power plant and votes on the laws of criminalizing any protest actions for these projects.

At the same time, the Australian government is accused by the Parliamentary opposition and the Australian press of using creative accounting techniques to present a reduction in pollutants to achieve the target of reducing pollutants by at least 5% in Greenhouse gas emissions in relation to the corresponding levels that exist in 2000 (and always on the basis of the announcement of the then Australian government in December 2008 that as of the year 2020 Australia will have reduced by at least 5% its gas emissions corresponding greenhouse gases).

The huge disaster in the economy and hope for the future

Tens of thousands of tourism businesses were destroyed on the popular East Australian coast by the spewed-sized fires. The Australian newspaper “The Age” states that less than 950000 employees are employed in the Australian tourism industry.

A very significant proportion of the population which with the implementation of the appropriate policies in the tourism industry could be tripled within five years.

Policies that could use desalination technologies for the unlimited production of clean drinking water then carrying this water through an extensive irrigation network in the inland of Australia to create the necessary water resources for watering and developing forests that would be Australia’s new ecosystems.

Around these new ecosystems could develop new tourist units for all kinds of tourism services and depending on the area to be located.

At the same time Australia should adopt the technology of the future in which from the use of Hydro panel can be produced clean drinking water from ambient air alone, without the use of energy and power. A technology that can produce water autonomously and, in the desert, giving the possibility of clearing and cultivation in barren soils.

But all this wants the implementation of a specific project and investments of many millions of $ AUS, but investments that can be supported by the Australian federal budget over time.

Perhaps the potential votes of all these workers and their family members in the Australian tourism industry will trigger the Australian government for a real gradual change towards a better green future.

The solidarity of Australians towards animals is the hope that is born of the tragedy

If there is anything positive from this unspeakable destruction of Australia are the touching images and videos with kangaroos and Koala’s that ask people for help and water while other people endanger their own lives to rescue them.

These moments are the humanity and the solidarity that man must show against all the creatures of this world, acknowledging that they, as well as man himself, are equally part of nature.

This solidarity contradicts the policy of the state of Australia that in 2017 had given orders to citizens to hunt and eat kangaroos because their population had risen excessively and had to be limited (they could do so with less brutal way).

The state of Australia in a more general context has certainly been attempted with legal but not in ethical ways to control the populations of animals in the country by eliminating them.

But the solidarity shown by the Australian people to the fauna of their country in the face of the common terror caused by the unspeakable tragedy and destruction proves that this country has a great future and its people can rebuild it from the beginning if the circumstances so require.
