A Russian military correspondent reported the death of a Ukrainian commander as the Russian army arrived outside the village of Masinostroitel in the Novomykhailovka region.
Dead Ukrainian Commander
The commander of the 126th Territorial Defense Brigade of Ukraine, Col. Anatoly Serhii, was neutralized as a result of a Russian FAB bombardment on March 27.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, during the latest Russian bombings on the Ukrainian battlefield, a total of more than 440 Ukrainian soldiers and foreign mercenaries fighting on the side of Kiev were lost.
Along with Anatoly Sergey, some foreign mercenaries of the Ukrainian army were killed, mercenaries who have become a priority target of Russian bombing since French President Emmanuel Macron publicly revealed that the possibility of sending NATO troops to Ukraine is being discussed.
So far, Russian data indicate that more than 5,000 foreign mercenaries have been killed in Ukraine, a large percentage of whom come from Poland. Even today, however, a number of soldiers from the West are still fighting on the side of the Ukrainians, supporting the operations of the forces of Kiev.
Advance of the Russian Army in Novomihailovka
In the direction of Uglendar, an active advance of the Russian troops around the settlement of Novomihailovka is currently taking place. During the offensive operations of the Moscow army it is said that considerable progress was made in two different respects. First, Russian units reached the center of Novomykhailovka, and secondly, Russian soldiers lined up outside the village of Mashinostroitel, which is located northwest of Novomykhaylovka.
This recent Russian advance provided an opportunity for Kremlin troops to gain control of strategically important positions and expand their zone of control, the Russian media pointed out. The Ukrainians, for their part, are trying to limit the Russian advance.
The constant pressure they faced forced the Ukrainian soldiers to retreat from the central to the western part of Novomykhailovka and thus the Russian soldiers had the opportunity to occupy the center of the settlement, which they did. With the new lands the Russians are in a privileged position and have the tactical and strategic advantage against their enemy.
