British military sources report that Cuban mercenaries have appeared in Ukraine, fighting alongside the Russian army against the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Cubans appeared in the ranks of Russian troops; they are fighting in Ukraine as part of volunteer units against the Ukrainian Armed Forces, having signed contracts with the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Today there are about 119 Cuban citizens in the fighting areas and that’s the bare minimum; in fact, it could be much more, possibly several hundred.
It is emphasized that all of them signed contracts with the Russian Ministry of Defense, while many have already managed to acquire Russian citizenship.
An example is given of a certain Cuban named Gonzalez, who previously worked as a specialist, and who, after signing the contract, has already completed training and is participating in hostilities against Ukrainian forces.
Allegedly, all the Cubans who arrived in Russia knew where they were going, because they were ready to fight alongside the Russian army, as was once the case in Angola.
For the record, the Soviet Union was a staunch ally of Cuba for a long time.
In addition, another incentive is the high salary in the Russian army, which is about 100 times higher than the average salary in Cuba.
Cuban Ambassador to Moscow Julio Antonio Garmendia Peña stated that Havana is not opposed to the legal participation of Cuban citizens in the Russian military operation, but neither confirmed nor denied information about the appearance of Cubans in the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces.
The appearance of the Cubans is a harbinger of the presence of North Koreans on the Ukrainian front
According to Russian experts, the North Korean regime will have the opportunity to conduct military operations against the fighting side with NATO weapons. We are talking about hardened commandos of the North Korean Armed Forces, who will exclusively target the mercenaries and elite forces of the Ukrainians (please also read the analysis titled “North Korean Mercenaries on the Ukrainian front“).
Do not forget that North Korea has one of the largest armies in the world, and its elite force is about 100 thousand people, creating a “reservoir” from which the Russians could draw forces against the Ukrainians, in the planned ground attack that are preparing according to several sources inside Russia.
Almost along the entire front line in Ukraine there is an intensification of hostilities. US officials have expressed concern over Iran’s growing military ties with Russia and the prospect of North Korea supplying weapons to Russia’s struggling military.
