The film premiered in Paris on Tuesday, July 11, and critics have shown their intense enthusiasm for the acclaimed director’s new film venture.

Journalists who watched the film took to Twitter to share their rave reviews of the film, with one reviewer describing how the film “opened my brain” and “left me sobbing until the end credits”.

“Oppenheimer” features an all-star cast starring Cillian Murphy as theoretical physicist who helped develop the bomb, J. Robert Oppenheimer. The cast includes Emily Budd, Robert Downey Jr. and Matt Damon. Florence Pugh plays Oppenheimer’s mistress, and Kenneth Branagh, Rami Malek and Josh Harnett also star.
