Exhibition: Albert Edelfelt

The exhibition provides an overarching view of the life’s work of one of Finland’s most renowned and popular artists. Edelfelt made a notable international impact, and after settling and launching a career in Paris, paved the way and created contacts for other Finnish artists to follow. The reopening of the Art Museum Ateneum is a major issue for the Finnish art scene, as it is not only the treasure trove of national paintings of the 19th century but also a modern art gallery with works of later generations.

Exhibition: Ramses the Great & the Gold of the Pharaohs

The fact that causes enormous public interest is the exhibition about the pharaoh Ramses II in Paris, at La Villette. His sarcophagus once again lures us into discussions about the timeless charm of ancient Egypt. In 1976, the sarcophagus of Rampsis B came again with his mummy, a fact that had caused a national outrage. The mummy is now too fragile for air travel, but the sarcophagus is in Paris. Come and discover more than 180 original pieces, some of which never left Egypt, gathered in an exceptional collection.
A breathtaking treasure trove of over 3,000 years: exceptional jewelry, spectacular royal masks, furniture from the untouched tombs of the city of Tanis. The exhibition will also offer a virtual reality experience to discover the fabulous temple of Abu Simbel and the tomb of Nefertari.
