The results of the last elections (17 September, 2019) in Israel indicate that the people of Israel voted with great maturity forcing the two big political parties to consult among them in order to find common and acceptable positions by creating a government of national unity with aim to solve most of the problems that Israel is facing as a society.
This is the second time since the first elections in April, which the previously elected multi-winner in Israel elections Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu fails to succeed he and the political coalition that is leading to gain self-reliance to form a government. Perhaps the fact that it is threatened with a referral to justice for corruption maybe affected a part of the electorate that is partly moving in the elections.

In addition, during the pro-election period, held before April in which the first elections took place in April, the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attempted to exploit the religious and nationalist ideological polarization in order to increase its electorate rates and perhaps this in itself is a major cause that saw the electorate rates of his party (Likud) coming to a lower-second position compared to the percentages of the first Blue and White party led by Benny Gantz, which neither Blue and White party wins self-reliance in order to form his own government.
In addition, the ballot box in the last elections, and always based on the seats it won, was the party of Yisrael Beiteinu of Avigdor Lieberman as a post-election regulator. This political party insists on the composition of a Government of national unity consisting of the three parties, namely the Blue and White, Likud and Yisrael Beiteinu.
Once the formation of this Government of national unity has taken place and since all three parties together possess 73 of the 120-total law-maker seats of the Israeli Parliament (Knesset), the extreme right-wing nationalist and generally the extreme elements of the Israeli political stage are immediately marginalized.
The election messages
Essentially, the people of Israel with their vote in the last elections showed that they want a change and renewal in the country’s government by giving a marginal majority in the Blue and White party of Benny Gantz without giving the coveted self-reliance of the political coalition who is leading, perhaps because they fear what this change will entail, but giving Benny Gantz the opportunity to control the developments in the composition of the new government.
At the same time, the Israeli voters bring the Benjamin Netanyahu party (Likud) second, perhaps because they wanted to punish him for any scandals he is involved or because they were tired and wanted a new course from the administration of their state, but also acknowledging the great his offer to his homeland from the Prime Minister’s post.
In fact, Likud’s second position and the non-self-reliance of the right-wing political coalition are both “punishing” and a recognition of the great political and administrative experience-value of Benjamin Netanyahu.
At the same time the message of the Israeli voters, based on the results of the last elections, clearly tells the leaders of the two big parties “Find them among yourselves for the good of the fatherland” and form a government of national unity.
Only in this way a majority percentage of the Israeli people will be able to see that their desires and interests are satisfied by wanting their new government at the same time to show in some issue’s moderation rather than absolutism.
The fact that in one instance of the formation of a national unity government, the Arab Left Party will become the main opposition, possessing an institutional position in the Israeli Parliament is very likely to force the new government to look with more understanding the problems of Israeli citizens of Arab descent which begin and end in their non-complete integration into Israeli society.
So, whoever from the two main political opponents, Benny Gantz and Benjamin Netanyahu, tries in some way or through a blame game of his political rival to lead the country to a third election, he is very likely to be punished by the electorate.
