Half an hour a day cycling, significantly reduces the risk of heart attack and regulates blood pressure, sugar and cholesterol. The heart health benefits are important for everyone, even someone who starts cycling in their 50s or 60s.

In one study, Danish scientists followed the course of the health of 45,000 of their compatriots, aged 50 to 65, for 20 years. Through this, they found that those who cycle daily reduce the risk of a heart attack by up to 18%.
Those who started cycling in the very first 5 years of the study had about 25% more heart disease than those who never started cycling.
