January effect
is called an empirical regularity whereby stock returns appear to be higher in January as opposed to other months of the year.

Janus coefficient
is called a measure of accuracy of forecasts, calculated by taking the ratio of the average of the squared forecast errors for extra-sample data to the average of the squared forecast errors for sample data.

Job finding rate
is named the rate at which workers move from the state of unemployment to that of employment.

Job separation rate
is called the rate at which the workers move from being employed to being unemployed, because of quits, redundancies or for other reasons.

Junk bonds
are those bonds which have rating below Baa-Moody's (or BBB-S&P) and means that have a high default risk.
