This is because Russia is an important country and attacking Ukraine, not only attacking a country of forty million inhabitants, but also increasing the great tensions between Russia and the West. This is almost the same competition that the US National Defense Strategy has warned about and said the US needs to prepare for.

One of the first major issues to be affected by the war is the global economy. Brent crude oil prices are already rising. Now oil is back and prices are going up. At the same time, global stock markets are likely to be hit by this conflict. Global chaos and uncertainty will lead to market instability. This also means that while oil and some other commodities, such as gold, may become more expensive, there will be additional surges. A ripple is inflation. Inflation is already rising globally, in part due to the pandemic and epic costs.

Supply chain chaos has also led to rising prices. Car prices are soaring in places like the United States, amid reports of chip shortages and other issues affecting the auto industry. This means that the used car market is also rising in price. Housing is also much more expensive than in previous years. All this has a significant impact on inflation. Inflation will be followed by further pressures if wages do not keep pace with rising prices. Bankruptcies can increase and there will be other issues.

For China and Russia, the economic turmoil fueled by the Ukraine crisis is better news. Weak western economies will not be able to impose effective sanctions. Inflation in the US or a weaker dollar will be challenged as China and Russia take advantage of this chaos. China has already exploited the pandemic chaos to bolt Western countries and expand China’s footprint in the Middle East, Asia and Africa. Australia recently said that China even targeted one of its laser planes.

The war being unleashed in Ukraine will also lead to other wars elsewhere. As Russia appears to be successful in its air raids, we will see other countries challenge the world order. If Russia enjoys impunity for attacking Ukraine in an unprovoked attack, then many other countries may feel they can launch attacks. Iran has already carried out such attacks. However, Iran may become even bolder. China can also be encouraged. That could mean a list of more wars and chaos.

As the war escalates we will see a decline in the post-Cold War global security framework, this so-called liberal international order or “new world order” that the United States helped build in 1990 and 1991. The United States at that time stood up to the aggression of Saddam Hussein. Now experts are predicting a new world. It could mean that China will challenge Australia more and create a trick similar to the invasion of Taiwan used by Russia in Ukraine. Turkey may also increase its attacks on Syria, and Iran may encourage proxies to attack the United States in Iraq and Syria.

This is worrying for Israel because Hezbollah can be encouraged. We have already seen how much impunity has encouraged Iran in Syria and the Syrian regime, now there may be a growing sense that Iran can do whatever it wants in Syria. Syria says an airstrike near Damascus on Thursday morning killed three soldiers. This could be a sign that tensions in Syria may increase.

The crisis in Ukraine is a great test for Western powers. There are questions about how this can resonate across the West and whether NATO will stand strong and show that it is ready to do whatever it takes to defend its partners and friends. However, if there are major divisions in Europe and the countries do not agree to resist Russia, then the crisis in Ukraine could be a symbol of the further decline of Western democratic unity.

The invasion of Ukraine is an important incident because Russia openly gathered forces and attacked. Russia recognized two parts of Ukraine as independent states and then sent “peacekeepers” to these new states. A day later, Russia began bombing Ukraine. He had no pretense because he started attacking and did so in an unprovoked way. This is a big test for Europe. The US will try to create a “no-fly zone”. Any air defenses or weapons will be sent. Or western countries will do nothing.

This means that the war in Ukraine will not only bring with it growing global economic chaos, but also opportunities for more wars and the growing decline of the world’s remaining democracies. That depends on the answers of the West and the United States. However, if the US imposes sanctions only on Russia and Russia is able to deal with these sanctions or prevent them, and if the West is not united on the issue of Ukraine, the message will be sent that more than that could happen. invasions and redrawing of borders.

The war that broke out on Thursday against Ukraine will unleash and accelerate many global trends.
