Chinese President Xi Jinping has aimed to permanently keep the ruling Party in power. A power in which, after all, he will play the main and immovable role. In this sense, President Xi’s critical problem is that of combining China’s participation in the international division of labor with claims and successes through the operation of an authoritarian government, within a country with huge differences at various levels.

During his 25-minute speech, the President of the People’s Republic of China clarified two key positions.

1. Ηe emphasized not only China’s participation in the globalization process, but also his country’s pioneering role in deepening and spreading the phenomenon. President Xi spoke out against protectionism, stressing that competition is a process of adjusting, innovating and improving economic performance, which alone offers a real benefit to society.

In this context, Xi Jinping stressed that, “those who follow the path of creating a Cold War climate are wrong, as long as the confrontations do not solve problems, exacerbating what already exists.” It must be understood, the Chinese president stressed, that the practices of hegemony and intimidation found in the tide of history are ineffective. “Of course countries have differences and disagreements with each other, but a zero-sum approach, which expands its own profit to the detriment of others, will not help.”

Also giving a philosophical dimension to what Xi was saying, he said:

As a Chinese saying goes, “The momentum of the world either thrives or decreases – the state of the world either progresses or recedes. The world is always evolving through the movement of contradictions, without contradiction, nothing would exist. The history of mankind is a story of achieving development through the face of various trials and development through overcoming various crises. We must proceed following the logic of historical progress and grow by riding the wave of development of our time. Despite all adversity, humanity will move forward. We need to learn from comparing long history cycles and see the change in things through their subtle nuances. “We must cultivate new opportunities in the midst of crises, open new horizons in a changing landscape and gather great strength to face difficulties and challenges.”

Based on this reasoning, the Chinese president proposed:

1. Joint global effort to address and eliminate the pandemic.

2. Promoting a sustained recovery of the world economy, without restrictions, but with macro-policy coordination and enhancing the synergy of policies to prevent systemic risks.

3. Bridging the gap between North and South, especially at the technological level, where differences create new rifts.

4. Significant improvement in the Human Development Index, which decreased for the first time in 30 years.

“The world’s poor population has grown by more than 100 million. Nearly 800 million people live on hunger. Difficulties are increasing in food security, education, employment, medicine, health and other areas important for human well-being. Some developing countries have fallen back into poverty and instability due to the pandemic. Many in developed countries also live in difficult times.

Regardless of the difficulties we may encounter, we must adhere to a people-centered development philosophy, put growth and livelihoods at the forefront of global macropolitics, realize the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and build greater cooperation. between existing development cooperation mechanisms to promote balanced development worldwide.

We must uphold the principle of shared but differentiated responsibilities, promote international cooperation on climate change in the context of development, and implement the effects of COP26 in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. “Developed economies must take the lead in fulfilling their responsibilities to reduce emissions, in keeping with their commitment to financial and technological support,” Xi said.

Without mentioning the word democracy even once, a fact that is rich in content, it is clear from his words that the ambition of the Chinese president is the international spread of a model of authoritarian capitalism, in which instead of the rule of law there will be a state of surveillance and authoritarianism and in which free critical thinking will be flattened.

Already in the US, populism, wokism and incoherence are the new supposedly progressive culture, with a fundamental search for the very serious question “what is the sex of angels” !!!

So on the basis of these developments, President Xi very kindly wished to all of us to be well.

The speech of the Chinese president at the beginning of the work of the last Davos Forum is a real book of the new…

[821,390
3267,2679,161,3268,2187
post-7446","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-asia","category-politics","tag-authoritarian-state","tag-capitalism","tag-china","tag-chinese-capitalism","tag-xi-jinping
["GET
