<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nThe result was an alliance between Russia and China, despite their differences. This alliance, however, gave birth to an unprecedented size for political form on the planet and in history, making Russia and China the other dipole in relation to the West.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Threatening West with dissolution<\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Given the Asian aggregation instead of further consolidating the West to face the Asian unity the Anglo-Saxon AUKUS seems to have been created by historical and racial criteria. But this causes a rupture and not a further contraction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This development should not surprise us because when you create a nation-tribal form within a wider geopolitical unity the rest will cool down and move away to other alliances. This happened to France and mainland Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Given these events, the West, as one of the two world poles of the International System, is threatened with disintegration in the midst of global competition when Asia, on the other hand, is more united.<\/p>\n\n\n\n China-Russia’s Asian unity is further strengthened by the military dimension of US-China rivalry, which until now has been limited to the commercial, economic, and technological sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nuclear weapons as a precautionary lever to force China<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n China has a relatively small nuclear arsenal and applies the doctrine of “non-first use”. China has pledged to use nuclear weapons only if it receives first nuclear attack. China’s small nuclear arsenal can only be used for limited retaliatory strikes and never total destruction of the adversary through reciprocal strikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This policy of China is due to the Cold War period when China feared that a possible development of a strong nuclear arsenal on its part would force the US and the USSR to work together for a massive pre-emptive nuclear attack against it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n China has just 65 nuclear weapons capable of invading US territory. The US, on the other hand, has more than 5,895 nuclear weapons capable of invading Chinese territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Of course, China is constantly strengthening its strategic nuclear arsenal with ICBM DF-31 and DF-41 intercontinental ballistic missiles. It also builds augmented-range submarines with JL-3 ballistic missiles that can reach US soil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The nuclear gap between China and the United States remains and will remain for many years. Could AUKUS and especially the US take advantage of this and prevent these Chinese nuclear missiles with low-power and high-precision nuclear weapons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The US could use this nuclear surplus as a means of coercion in the context of lower-level confrontations forcing China to follow US sentiment?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Certainly, China needs more coverage than ever from the Russian nuclear umbrella.
